I have one of these in an International Acco. They are a great engine, and what a nice sound they make too.

EAR PLUGS ,, EAR PLUGS ,, you will suffer from tinitus and deafness doing that with an motor with no exhaust fitted

We put one of these in a Land Rover, its a good engine. Bags of torque and returns a steady 25mpg.

I had a 1850 oliver with the 3,53 0r 354--best engin on fuel-had a mf combine with 305 perkins 4cyl it would use 1/2 the fuel as a 292 chevy would use gas----some built in the 60tys still going strong ---

look on the data plate 12v or 24v , should think it would be a 24v for its size , 24v wouldn't harm a 12v starter motor for a quick burst

I've already sold the motor, but neither the starter or generator had voltages marked on them. but 24V didn't hurt it at all. good starting.

Are Perkins engines started off 12 V or 24V?

I have a Perky S6M Marine Diesel (Simms Starter and Genny) which I know little about, set up on a test stand and it is damn hard starting it, off 12V (one battery, lots of ether starter spray), are they 24V?, would I blow the starter trying it?

I,m video'ing the starting of it tomorrow anyway on 12V.

Great engine the 6354, many farmers swear by them, as a kid I remember the little Inter truck had one in it, replaced the old petrol engine, there was no going back to the petrol after the Perkins!!!

I had a boat with a T6-354M aftercooled rated at 160 horsepower. It was a nice engine.

Que bien suena el Perkins, la verdad esque es un motor muy muy bueno, por cierto este modelo lo montaba la Cosechadora IASA 4420
