  • Lower abs aren't a separate muscle, but they are a section of the abdominals. That's like saying there is no south America because it's all America. Lower abs exist hence the term lower abs.

I don't know where you heard this myth about "no such thing as lower abs" The way you work your lower abs consists of range of movement through various exercises. You can still train your bicep but if you don't follow a full range of motion you will only train certain parts of that muscle.

  • @HouseMusicMadeMeDoIt You know it is possible to only train a portion of a muscle right? Thats why there are different workouts for the same muscle groups. Your chest is one big muscle. But there are 3 (and more) ways to train it. Flat, incline and decline. Because it works different parts of the chest.

  • i can't believe how many "lower"abs exercises are on youtube.Ppl don't realise you have to be really ripped for these muscles to be visible.It is hard to have a sixpack,but the fat covering the lower abs is a lot thicker than the one that covers the upper(6 pack). Unless you are ripped/skinny training any ab muscle is kinda waste of time,they'll never be visible without very small BF,and that u do in the kitchen.

  • @TheLusianPopa Not necessarily, core training is critical to being at a good fitness level. So you should train your core even if you don't have a low BF %. You perform so much better, and at the same time, keep your heart rate up to burn more calories. So in the end, its not a waste of time.

  • @bubbabobroy training any muscle is good,i meant it's a waste of time because they won't be visible,but having a strong core is very important.I'm just saying some mucles are wanted for the way they look ,they don't really help you in life(abs chestback arent as important as legs or arms in every day life)

  • @TheLusianPopa I disagree. A strong back helps you to lift, a strong core helps your posture and IN FACT helps you with everyday life and when you are training in the gym. You need to engage your core on every move you make in a gym.

    Lower abs will be visible if you do the right type of exercise. Defo not a waste of time (but I know what you meant by waste of time...)

  • @TheLusianPopa Mate....I have a six pack. Trust me, you do need to work at it. Diet is 90% of achieving abs and exercise the rest. Your attitude is defeatest.....no exercise is in vain unless you are doing the move wrong.

    Training has to be about the whole body. Each muscle group works in conjunction with another. One weakness in one group can cause imbalances across the others. Abs are vital and should form a part of every workout.

    Right, I totally agree with you :) If you have BF over 10 % your 6 pack is under layer of fat. And no exercise for lower abs, your abs always work together. And second, if you want really strong abs you must work crunches with some weight, we work hands and arms with some weights...

  • @87Logitech where do ppl get that 10% max BF?u can have great abs ay 12 even 14 %BF,depends on the size of the muscles<and where u store it.Jay Cutler has visible abs at 20%bf(as an example).Also important is where u store the excess fat:men usually store fat in tha abdominal region,while women store in on their legs,ass...but ive seen viceversa plenty of times.The abs are not that hard to build,a good programe can grow ur abs a lot in 6 -9monts,in a year they can be outstanding

    Yes, but you must eat healthy food and you must eat 6 small meals per day, that not easy. I know that BF depends from person to person, but in mostly case if BF over 11 abs in most case are under fat. Some bodybilders have BMI over 30 but they have all muscle, because muscle is much heavier then fat. Sry on my English

  • @TheLusianPopa ...ya i agree with you...i mean it is possible that these exercises can Strengthen the lower abs and core....but to make abs visible it requires high intensity full body workouts and proper strict nutritional diet! i found that out once i finally cut out alot of my sugar intake and saw amazing results once doing that

  • @TheLusianPopa that's in a way wrong what you said...it's not all about the kitchen, the perfect way to lose belly fett is the you have more burned calories then consumed in a combo with those exercises you will loose you belly fett...and yeah if you really wanna do this then you're not allowed to eat bread and fett...eat more meat (boild, or grilled), and drink at least 3-4 liters of water every day....you'll se that you will lose your belly ;)
