  • This video I find haunting...not because of ghosts...due to 1977 and stepfathers with big black moustaches:( Why is this?

  • Why did they change the front windows ? They used to be a lot different & NOT rectangle ones...

  • @lilmissgaga they changed the windows and the house number because the owners were tired of people driving by and taking pictures. I think it was stupid for doing so. Its a historical site. I liked the triangle windows, they remind me of the movie and not only that, It made the house look scary. lol

  • @darthinvaderson The windows looked like eyes, didn't they?

  • @lilmissgaga It was done so the house could not be easily identified by thrill seekers, tresspassers, etc.

  • I so would not live in this house, but I think the La Palazzo mansion in Las Vegas is scarier! Check it out on Ghost Hunters.

  • The only thing haunting that house are the curious. It was all a story to make money.

  • @NickBabyGrl2009,

Oh,ok,thanx for the info'.Now you say it it makes perfect sense, lol. And I agree, the house should be left empty, but protected. But I guess it's just too prime a piece of real-estate to 'go to waste',huh?! Though I do admit,if I ever came to the US I'd want to at least walk past the place, lol, though I would be a damn sight more respectful than many others have been.

  • Haunted HouesS?! So,just how many in Amytiville are meant to be haunted? Thought it was 112,Ocean,where the DeFeo family were butchered!

  • @popazz1 that is the house where DeFeo family got butchered. The original owners changed the house cause to many fans were taking pictures.. After the movie was filmed. And trying to break inside the house just to they can see if its really hanuted. Actually they should leave the house alone along with whatever is inside it. No wonder why the ghost doesnt like people living in the house!! If they would leave the damn thing alone.. Maybe it wouldnt be so evil!!

  • Was the other house the "Elm Street" house?

  • people get out of the car and record it up close or go in and record some paranormal stuff happenin

  • whats name of soudtracks ?

  • only the yellow house is suppoised to be haunted the other ones are just fakes the yellow one is the real amityville horror house were the man killed all his family and another family moved there and quickly moved out and said the house has demons in it

  • I would like to take a shit on the front lawn and see what happens.

I bet it would be scary.

  • @Thedangerousretard

    That'll be fine!

  • They look like doll houses. Any of them could be haunted!

  • How scary are these houses if everybody lives in them just fine everyday. If anything, the scariest part is all the wierdos and nutcases driving around the neighborhood filming it and peeking thru the windows.

  • the house a 2:18 isnt the real house but the house in the movie original.where is it located it looks really cool!

  • at 0:20 is the acctual house they moved it down the street

  • @Juggalo71493 I think that's jsut how all the houses on Ocean Ave used to look back in the 70s- these people just hadn't remodeled like most of the others on the street. I'm pretty sure it's not the same house.

  • @Juggalo71493 nooooo thats the one they used in the 2005 movie.

  • someone lives there currently, they say its fine. but i find it creepy that they dismiss it as though its not the most famous ghost story in america.

  • I wish I could go inside the movie house.

  • As soon as the scary music started I jumped up and ran head first into my bedroom wall.

I was knocked out cold for about fifteen minutes.

When I came to my head was bleeding and I had a huge bump on my forehead.

I wen to the hospital to get checked out, but the doctor said I didn't have a concussion.

I am so glad I wasn't seriously hurt.

  • HIGH HOPES!!!

  • Is the market value on the house low? I'd love to find a place like that, a place no one wants

  • @TheCrimsonImbecile It just went back on the market- 1.15 million and 30k in taxes.... go to mlsli.com and it's # 62760518

    That's Long Island for ya

  • The cream/brown colored house is the real house. The blue house is the house they used in the first 3 original Amityville Horrors. A fake roof and quarter windows were add to the blue house to make it look like the real one.

  • I just wanted to say after reading a lot of comments here how amazing it is that given the small size of this neighborhood, how many ppl claim to live right accross from it! Now THAT's weird!

  • i think there are stil hauntings in that house. I just think the family dosnt want to tell anybody. Cause if they do they are going to get a bunch of media attention.

  • I love that music!

  • Nice house! Too bad it's haunted...

  • whichy house has the quarter circle eye like windows, the real one of the movie one?

  • @videomastere: The present owners removed the quarter moon windows about 10 years ago so people wouldn't recognize the house from the street. The have also never had any hauntings in 20 years.

  • the poeple who live there changed the windows to detour tourist

  • last time i seen house was 10-31-04 still looks scary as hell six dead bodys found through out house.i would be shit scared to walk on that block at night time

  • Just thought I would give my two cents. I believe what the Lutz's said about the house. Didn't they do some kind of cleansing of the house after the Lutz's moved out? I have also read that they believe whatever evil was in the house lay dorment for years until the DeFeo's did something to stir it up & it was still there when the Lutz's moved in. It could just be laying dorment since the new families haven't done anything to stir it back up or the cleansing (if it happened) got rid of it.

  • The movie house was filmed in New Jersey. People currently live in the house in Amityville. I went out to Amityville when I visited New York. It looks like a normal house ie no moon demonic looking windows. But then that's what makes it creepy coz it look so normal. In the Highlands of Scotland, we have Boleskine House whose infamous owner was the demonologist Alister Crowley, all sorts of goings on have been reported there over the years but the house looks completely normal.

  • There's a house in Olympia, WA on Carlyon Ave. that has the exact same style windows, that look like 1/4 circles.

I tried to zillow the address and could'nt find it, but it freaky the same.

  • That house seems lost its original demonic windows which look like seeing eyes...

  • the current owners replaced the original windows with regular ones, tore out the "red room", and changed the address. they are so paranoid people are going to mess with their house. people have called the cops before on sight-seers.

  • if this house is as haunted as people say it is get Ghost Hunters there... that may provide a little more proof.. they have all the right equipment... and i agree if peolple currently there why dont they have paranomal activity? but my question is that maybe the paranormal activity has diffierent effects people.. is that possible???

  • Why is everyone photographing this house from inside their car? They are so scared that they will be attacked by the neighbors! LOL.

  • @NOPSteam

    loooooooooool

  • @NOPSteam Um, actually yeah. If they even step foot on the property, they could get arrested for trespassing. And yes, the neighbors are VERY touchy about the whole subject and have been known to harrass anyone coming to even view the house from their cars.

  • @NOPSteam neighbours are really angry there thats why . They swcream/the honk everytime somebody watch the house

  • @NOPSteam accually yes...the neighbors h8 it

  • @NOPSteam Yea man people there hate it, I was just up there with my friend who has family in Amityville, they said people get really pissed

  • @NOPSteam no cuz they made it illegal to stop in front of the house besides the amount of time it takes to stop at the stop sign

  • @NOPSteam No they are scared of the ghosts, shadows and all of those flies inhabiting the are!

  • U forgot about the aboned house in the woods there tht u can go inside

  • who lives in there at the moment? and dont they get paranormal stuff in there as well?

  • can this house for sale?

  • people are living there!

  • i would be so scared if i'd have to sleep there....

  • i wonder why they changed the windows hey does any one live there noww ? uhhh creepy

  • I grew up in AMITYVILLE. I went joggin one morning-up Bayview down Merrick-then down Ocean- when I heard something- I look- and there is the GRIM REAPER jogging right next to me!! a scythe in one hand - abasketball in the other - Iwas like what the FUCK!??,...then I saw all the old coaches from Amityville- Coach Ag, T, Mullins, Mattera, Izz, Foreman, fuckin' super mario Devenuto and they were all doin the JIGGABOO DANCE OF DEATH!! so I turned around and got some oatmeal. thisplace is creepy!!

  • haha.

  • i live a few blocks away from the house andd its not scary at all.if u have questions about the house ask me and not some gay fanboy

  • have u ever been into the house??

  • yepp

  • Has the house ever been remodeled on the inside or is it the same as when the Defeos and Lutz Family used to live there?

  • nope i think its the same

  • @stephen51194 You claim you have been inside the house but you "think" it's the same as when the Defeo's and Lutz's lived there? *cough* bullshit! *cough*

  • That would be a really bad idea to do major reconstruction work to a home with as a great paranormal past like this one, reconstruction may stir up that paranormal activity, and from the clamis the Lutz's made about it while they lived there, it'd be a bad idea to intentionally bring that back to the home.

  • I would hope that they have remodeled. LOL Could you imagine if they still had that burnt orange shag carpet or the burnt orange wall paper still up????? LOL Imagine Marie and Frank's house on Everybody Loves Raymond. They hadn't changed a thing in their house since the 1970's. LOL It is like a time capsule.

  • wait there are three different houses ???? did I miss something??!!!!

  • i believe that the amityville horror was real. there are thing that science or explanations cant explain. the lutz family swore george never confessed like some say. there IS something demonic in that house

  • There are no Amityville Horror Houses. There is only one Amityville "Horror House", at 112 Ocean Ave. If indeed those events happened when the Lutz family moved in, it is a normal house now.

The triangle windows have been gone as long as I can remember. However, there is another house towards the beginning of Ocean Ave (heading toward Montauk Hwy.) with a similar design and it still has the creepy windows! Look for it!

  • I bought my car from the Chrysler dealership about 1000 feet away and get my car serviced there regularly. On one of the earlier trips around 7AM when it was still dark, I drove down this block. The lights in the windows of MOST of these houses are really creepy. That whole block has an dark and foreboding feel to it, even if you didn't pay attention to this house.

  • Haha.. was that Security Dodge/Chrysler on the corner of Bayview or are you talking about where Legend was (still is?) on the corner of 110? Haven't lived in Amityville in 5 years, I'm not sure if those places changed names and / or closed down.

  • Security Dodge/Chrysler. I'd been there for a couple of years before realizing I'd been driving right by the house on the way for regular service. REALLY nice houses on the block but creepy as hell after dark.

  • I hope they haven't changed the house too dramatically inside, as it was such a beautiful house. The fact Butch Defeo is still alive is what makes this all the most real, as the murders that took place there didn't happen so long ago. Although I beg to differ on whether the house in haunted.

  • where is the location of the remake house

  • Fuck all these houses look scary

  • i love this movie but its terrifying...... nd i have watched many times nd i still get scared,,,,, nd i would not live in this house not even if nothing didnt had happen i wouldnt its a scary place to live period. thats why i dont live in big houses i live in a small apt ...

  • the one from the remake at 0:23 is my favorite. 0:23 / 2:18

  • wel people who live there actaully do saythere are odd smells and stuff being moved around by a force

  • its from the movie

  • what music is that?

  • All those haters who complain bout people wanting to see this house...Shut the fuck up u winy bitches.....Be happy that people want to see this house...i dont care if u live there who the fuck are u to be mad...The movie made a lot of money...its very interreting to people...SO RELAX...if i owned this house i charge people to come in and watch the amityville movie in the house for cash SWEET deal people will come.,.

  • I would NEVER EVER live in there those people are insane, there's someone living there right know right??

  • yeah, i heard that someone is still living there

  • can everyone go inside the house? or it is forbidden? and what about the interior, furnitue - is everything the same? has anything change?

  • The house is privately owned, it is someone's home, so yes, things have changed, the two different owners after the Lutzes would have decorated to their own taste. As you can see the outside of the house has been upgraded and changed dramatically.

  • It's a hoax!!!

  • who the hell lives there, who ever it is has major balls.

  • Brian WIlson Lives there now

  • watch my video and comment!!!

it's called The Amityville Horror House

  • so what that blue house form the 1970s amityville moive but i just amityville 3d it was areright but did not make any sines that house blowe up in that end.

  • thats my house

  • How can that be your house if you live in Niger?

  • that hast 2 b total bulshit.

  • The Amityville Horror (2005). holy crap that kind of house was real!?

  • the movie was actually scary.and the story was extremely interesting.but like hitler said the bigger the lie,the more people will believe it.the defeo's god bless their souls i hope are in a better place and i hope george lutz apologizes for all his lies for financial gain.

  • How can George Lutz apologize if he's dead?

  • he's not dead yet, his wife is,,

  • They both are. Kathy died in 2004, George died in 2006. Do some more research

  • Thank you, costerluver. Since George and Kathy are both dead, it's likely we'll never know for sure, but doing research on the Lutzs before making ignorant statements such as the one above yours would be appreciated. George's death was reported in the news in 2006.

  • I knew that Kathy had died. Wow, I didn't hear about George. Didn't she die of cancer? What did he die of? Was it cancer also or just old age? LOL

  • @JWJNC Kathy died of a pulmonary disease and I believe George suffered a heart attack at the age of 59. And why do you LOL at the fact that they have died? You think that is funny?

  • @salamonetalton the reality is that it was Jay Anson, the author of "the amityville horror" who reeled in most of the cash from this story as well as the film makers. The Lutz's themselves received about 250,000 which is a lot of money but no where near what most people believe the Lutz's received for their story.

  • the new house in the new movie of amityville horror is ridiculous. it's an eyesore... it's built hardly anything like the real house on the front and interior.

  • This is the same house? I'd love to build a house with those eye-like windows

  • were I live theres one, I keep lookin at it every time I walk past there, its quite amazing how real it looks from the movie, next time I'L see if I can take a pic,

  • This is a movie about nothing. Only the music is slightly weird. And some of the houses shown aren't even in the town.

  • It's a video of the real house in Amityville where the murders occured, the blue house is from the original film and is in Toms River, New Jersey, and the last house is the house used in the remake.

  • The Amityville Horror is a gimmick made up by the guy who bought a worthless house. Only thing that keeps it alive is people looking for intrigue. Any comments that don't say it's real get deleted. Proof that it's so weak.

  • Personally I couldn't give two squirts of pee whether it's true or not, but it is rather tragic that six people were murdered, and their tragedy is overshadowed by a ghost story (real or fiction).

  • Re: "Personally I couldn't give two squirts of pee whether it's true or not, but it is rather tragic that six people were murdered"

I wouldn't feel comfortable living in the house just for that reason.

  • The franchise made hundreds of millions but the Lutz's share was only $250k. If they'd planned a "hoax", I think they could have planned a better one than this.

  • This is a movie about nothing. Only the music is slightly weird. And some of the houses shown aren't even in the town.

  • This is a movie about nothing. Only the music is slightly weird. And some of the houses shown aren't even in the town.

  • I JUST WANT TO BUY THAT HOUSE and CHANGE THE TOP WINDOWS IN THE ORIGINAL FORMAT !!!!

  • Amen to that!! :-)

  • guys just a question but did anyone of you ever loked inside the house?

cuz if i lived on amityville i would check if everythings okay

btw i would love to check out:P

  • i hate that music freak me out!

  • well, in the beginning of the old made amitty vile horror movie, they have that music. in october when i saw it, it did freak me out too.

  • try listening to the music and looking up the crime scene of the defeos murders, now thats a really eerie feeling.

  • wether its true or not .a tres tres scary story indeed an very creepy .......wouldn't catch me near it !!!

  • Dude, i dont care if its big, i wouldnt live in dat house no matta what! dude, i be gettin al deez creepy nitemers and crap, i cldnt even deel with walking through the front door, gaaah! demonic music!!!

  • wtf do you speak english

  • It's called "ebonics" yo LOL

  • yes someone does currently live in the house. I know because i live less than 5 minutes away

  • The first house is the real house. After the Lutzs left in Janurary 1976 the house stood empty for a year. The Cromartys moved in in 1977 and lived there until 1987. The O'Neals moved in in 1987 and moved out in 1997. A man named Bryan Wilson moved in in 1997 and lives there to this day. The blue house is the house used in the original 1979 movie in Toms River New Jersey. Hope that clears anything up.

  • People do not live in the house. I bet you would die in your sleep if that ever happened. OMIGOD! How dumb can you be? I mean, like, seriously! MR. GULLIBLE.

    DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHH!!!!!

  • look whatever happend in that house was strange but its over now, and the "horrors" are gone, but i wouldnt be suprised if the poeple in the house now were lieing about the house not being haunted, just to hide from the publicity.

  • @CoyBoy96 lol there have been many people who lived in the house after the Lutz's. The current owner has been there since 97. If you are going to call people dumb, you might want to get your facts right.

  • ok where do they tape this movie they cant tape it in the house or theyll probably die and does anyone live there today??

  • There is someone living there today, but the only thing that happened inside the house was the murders. The Lutz family didn't experience anything supernatural; they just made the book to help Ronnie DeFeo's case. It obviously didn't work. The Lutz's story keeps changing from what is wrote in the book "The Amityville Horror".

  • that 2005 movie house looks scary i wonder if anyone lives there

  • no. if u watch the makin on the dvd, its a set.

  • at about 0:22, whas that the house that was built in the 2005?(I have troule explaining.Sign..)

  • i wonder what goes on in there in the daytime..

  • i dnt give a fuck if da shit was true or false i wouldnt staay n dat house if ya paid me a million dollers cuz ya gotta always be ready fa da possible and da impossible

  • @fuckallhateinasshoes but if you had a million "dollers" you could get a tutor and learn how to spell in English, yo.

  • Is there people living in that house now? I saw cars parked right in the parkway of the house.

  • Wow, The wonders of Dutch Colonial architecture. I fail to see what is scary. Amazing the affect hollywood has on people.

  • is this danny elfmen playing in the background??

  • to stop freaks the owners took out the eye like windows.

  • this is stupid u didnt even go inside u idiot!!!!!!!!

  • doesnt reaally matter to me. Its sitill cool to look at the horror houses.

  • this is in response to narcissusdark. The blue house that is shown in the house that they filmed the first 3 Amityville movies at. The house was sitting on the lot next to the one it currently resides on. They moved it and shifted it's position to thwart fans like us from taking pictures of it. By the way I was just at that house one week ago and it still looks as creepy as ever!

  • hi, thanks for the reply... i wonder where the house is they filmed amityville 4 at then.

  • i think tht it is all a hunk of blahooey. the movies, books, they are all wrong. tht house had a freakin murder in it, big deal. +, it happened in the 1970's. anything tht would happene in the year 2007 would be nothing. there are no tours, and probably never will. just forget about all the movie imagery and thing syou read in the book and then you can see what the house really is.

  • none of those resemble the area or house in Amityville 2... are you only showing the house used in number 1 here? or 3? in number 2 it was an isolated house with a massive lawn, i'd like to see that one... if that house IS here, what point in the video is the house shown... ps if i ever moved into it, i'd restore it with those pumpkin-eyes, they were cool

  • OK people. Reality check. I was born 3 blocks from this house in 1975 and have passed it many times. There is NOTHING weird about it. Yes, people were murdered there. My Mom was pregnant with me at the time of the murders and remembers all the cops and commotion. It is a crime scene, NOT a haunting. I dated a girl in Farmingdale years later. Her stepfather actually knew Ron Defeo, not as a friend, but more as an acquaintance. Ron Defeo was addicted to speed and Dexy's.

  • if you a problem just bust a drive by on that house

  • your all so stupid it burns. the house is beautiful. you would see that if not for the gay music. and yes people live there. its just a nice house in a cool town. get lives.

  • FUCK YOU 311islife...that is YOUR opinion

  • actually its not my opinion, its a fact. i live in the town, i can see the house from my driveway. i know people who lived in the house for years. the people who live there now are obviously wealthy due to how much the house is worth. they have lived there for a long time without any problem. if an insane person killed your family, would that make your house evil too? you're obviously a troubled and ignorant person who has no clue what they're talking about.

  • how much is this house worth

  • well im not really an appraiser but the houses on the waterfront side of ocean avenue usually go for anywhere between 800,000 and 2 mill.

  • is ther a family in it right now?

and do you live at the house not in but next or somting how is that so the hous isn't hounting anymore??

  • um people do live there. not sure if its a family. and i live down the block from it. dont really understand what you mean on that one. the house never was haunted. a guy killed his family when he was on drugs. after he got caught, in order to plea for insanity, he said that demons told him to do it. after that a family, who knew the houses past moved in. a little while later they moved out and made millions of dollars off of a made up story. thats it.

  • i dont know about 2 million but 800,000 is very possible because i live on a waterfront in bellmore (about 10-20 minutes away from amityville) and its not as big as 112 ocean ave, and its sells for 600,000 and up.

  • yeah true there were two houses on ocean that were about the size of the "horror house" that were asking 1 mill plus and one on grand central that they were asking 2.4 for. it was a little bit ridiculous but most houses houses on the creek or the bay go for over 1 mill. if your on a canal its usually about 600-800.

  • Seriously... Amityville village is super expensive.

  • a million frosties.

  • yeah it's a nice house, but the bleeding walls can get annoying after a while...

  • I dont care if the house look different, it's evil to the core, even with the quater moon windows gone replaced with square ones, it still has eyes looking at you.

  • It's a Dutch revival style, popular in the 1890s. The quarter windows still exist; they're on the back of the house. The front of the house is actually the side because the lot is too small to face it correctly when it was new.

  • So what is the story behind the blue house??

  • I would not set foot in that house for any sum of money in the world. What was, or is still in there, is beyond what we can even begin to imagine.

  • Dude, relax. It's a normal house, people; (nice people) have always lived there. If you were permitted to walk in the house, you would experience NOTHING. If you felt weird, it would be because of all the talk and movie imagery affecting your mind and making you manifest things that are not really there....

  • Yeah just like your eye edits your image to be upside down, if you think its real thrn your mind/eyes will edit it to be there same case with hearing.
