can someone explain bound spells ? what do they do ?

@Seriath1 They summon equipment for you temporarily. what the Mythic Dawn does at the very start is a Bound Armor and Mace spell. Bound Dagger summons a Dagger. sometimes they're Deadric, sometimes now.

THats because weak fireball does damage over time, so it does more damage in total than any other spell you have and way cheaper for mana.

I'm definitely adopting a lot of your playstyle on my next run as a mage, i regret not doing it as my assassin. Wearing glass armor and using a shield...pfffft doing the Mehrune's Razor quest as a pure assassin felt much better. Also I would not have levelled so much if I knew about the npcs levelling with you... I guess its fun having 100 sneak though, my sneak attacks wreck armor guys

the dagger is kinda odd choice for a mage... seems like a necro thing... get a staff then you can feel better about having to use it in combat:)

The key in the puzzle room is always in the far right room, which corresponds to the upper right button. For me at least. So, I never really fight those skeletons...

gandolf and alot other mages in movies used melee weapons so its still ok if you use your dagger ti kill

@everman111 Yeah. A mage's primary attribute is intelligence. Why wouldn't he use every tool at his disposal?

@Pilaf1984 exactly anything use able is a mage's weapon really. Ive never really seen a mage use just magic in any books or movie I've seen them mix it in with looted weapons and stuff

@everman111 Gix can roleplay how he likes. He wants to roleplay as a mage who believes in magic's superiority over physical tools, therefore he never uses anything else. To each his own.

@GelionEldar The Unofficial Oblivion Patch fixes thousands of bugs with Oblivion but does not mod any of the content itself, it simply fixes things Bethesda overlooked or failed to fix themselves. You can look for it at tesnexus.

@Evangelionews2 Nah, you're just borrowing it from another dimension. It's like, there's Necromancer out there doing the dirty work for you and it takes him about 30secs to realize what happened.

Strange thing is that the chest that did hold the key in the room with 6 buttons was locked in my game. It was an Average lock. You would have been permanently stuck in that room without lockpicks, because running back is impossible.
