I've always thought that this is the most "soulful" pop love song in music history, the groove, the vocals, it's definitely that from the 80's, simply flawless music from this trio...

I have been listening to this song for 30 plus years & have always loved it. I know I'll get a lot of comments from this both negative & positive but this song has a whole new meaning to me now. I had been with the same man for 26 years who I thought was the greatest thing on earth but after waiting on him through 19 years of incarceration he got out & was very abusive. Long story short... I fell in love with a woman & she is the best thing ever! I love her so much! This song is for her!
Ambrosia was the ultimate love-rock band, 2000 years ago when I was in High School. These guys gave me many incredible nights at the drive-in......Thank You, Dave Pack!!
@MrChicago891 , Actually Michael McDonald has performed with Ambrosia before, or at least David Pack. And I think, but not certain, that McDonald sang for the background harmony on the studio recording of this song. McDonald has "set in" or collaborated with many artists. He's "that" good, just as David Pack is. Check out " I Just Can't Let Go", an Ambrosia song that David Pack also performed with Michael McDonald and James Ingram. It is super superb! ...... ;>)
