  • She's HOT !!! and nice choice of wardrobe !!!

  • can i use fresh fruit instead of oats

  • i dont have buttermilk, is there something else i could use? or just regular milk?

  • @hlatour11

Use an equal amount of milk (not skim), minus 1 Tbs. Stir in 1 Tbs of lemon juice (or white vinegar, or cider vinegar), and let it sit at room temp for 10 minutes. This is essentially making your own buttermilk. Have fun!

  • thumbs up if hetalia lead you to see how scones are made XD

  • lol she has a lisp XP

  • Today, I made scones for the first time, and I thought I had messed up on them because my dough wasn't as thick as yours, but they came out so awesome. I don't know what happened. Lol! But you have given me some good ideas for when I make scones again. :)

  • had to watch it twice, count follow the first time ;)

  • Why you would wear that when you know people will be watching?

  • why did you bother cuting them into chunks.. waste of time and effort:L

  • @kikilisek1 it makes the blending into the flour quicker without warming the butter too much.

  • uhhm, isn't it bad to work butter into dough by hand since you'll melt the butter with ur hand warmth? OnO

  • @MisterAngryPenguinDX Well she said the butter was "very cold" so it was prob from the fridge, so it would take a while to melt the butter entirely with ur hands while working it in, I think. Also, I don't think she worked it in too long, just to get it uniform and still chunky, so maybe a minute or so

  • Thanks for the vid, is there a link to an ingredients list showing the volumes you used?

  • Julie O'Hara you are yummy!

  • Better not use roller pin to make scones!

  • Scones are round....

  • yo are really pretty :)

  • can we get link to your article pls.

  • more scones please

  • NPR?? yes yes yes! freaking awesome thanks for the upload.

  • first off never ever ever pronounce them as Skoans. it just reminds me of people trying to sound posh when they arent.

as for your recipe those are gonna be very dry. you've added oats while they give great taste and texture, they're pretty dry. you need to add more milk/butter and fruit. scones are meant to be moist in the middle.

  • Those scones look very dry.

  • shes HOT

  • hi, i like you - great vid. tfs!

  • seems a really tasty bread, makes me wanna try make some, thanks for the recipe

  • you kinda look like rihanna

  • 3:11 - 3:15 best parts of the video

  • Hi Julie, you might be wondering why people are saying "that's a lot of butter".... well, it seems to me that you are using a basic butter cake recipe, adding some sultanas, cutting it up into triangles and calling those "SCOANES" as they like to say in the USA.

Not scones in the traditional sense anyway. Traditionally scones were a treat made from very little... salt, flour, baking powder, a splash of milk and water. If you were able to add butter at all, you were having special guests.

  • Thata A LOT of dame butter!!

  • @rockstarsupergirl123 well thats the british way lol

  • Did i miss something or did you not tell how much flower, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda. pretty much all of your dry ingredients. you did well telling how much in the wet ingredients.

  • Do you have to use buttermilk?

  • these scones are delicious! my roommates and i absolutely love them!

  • You mentioned an article...is there a url? :)

  • WTF this is not how you make scones, but to be expected your american. you have to be from the commonwealth to now how to make them. quick bread my ass

  • @potaka79 It's you're American, not your American.

  • @Emmelina93 lol what ever keeps you happy. lol

  • ur cute

  • I found a great blueberry scone recipe! Check out the video for how to make it on my channel.

    Thanks!

  • i got hit with a scone the other day,. not cool.

  • its pronounced skawn.

  • @fazxs you are very right!

  • measurements would be nice.... without them the recipe is useless

  • can you please give the measurements?

  • would be nice to have some measurements for the dry ingredients......duh!!!

  • It's pronounced Skawn not Scoan

  • I agree. 'Scone' rhymes with 'gone'.

  • I dont know what country your from but here in England it's scoan.. and also in the US.

  • my english teacher from england says they are pronounced "scoan"

  • @slicker9996 Well the Scotish pronounce it "Scons." Things are pronounced differently around the world, due to accents. So it doesn't really matter much.

  • @slicker9996 it`s the real way of pronouncing it....

  • Check out Julia Childs recipe for scones....no egg, very tasty and flaky. Julie, you're cute! Very nice demo, but need amounts for dry ingredients.

  • great job

  • nice recipe

  • You have a lisp... >.>

    thanks for the video! :D

  • Thank you for the great video.

  • I want to make something nice and easy.. this recipe is too hard and doesn't even tell you the amount of stuff you need.

  • would help if these people give u the amounts they are putting in the bowl...sheesh!

  • lol

  • its not scoans its scones

  • lol i love the lisp.

hmm i was going to try this but i dont have butter milk let alone milk can i possibly switch with powdered milk.

  • Nice, but I would prefer to make into round shape

  • Great recipe! You could also brush the tops with a mixture of a beaten egg and a spoonful of cream... it will make them nice and golden...

  • thank you very much .. yummmmmm

  • I love you and I love your scones.

  • Your Like the Perfect Dream girl

  • why do you cut the butter in chunks??

  • because it mixes well with the flour. otherwise you ended up with a big chunk of butter and alot of dry around the outside.. (in otherwords not good :P)

  • Julie....the video is great but the dry ingredients part is not so clear. You mention what they are but not the quantity. Keep it up!

  • Wow thats a lot of butter...

  • Bebevv--It's really not much butter at all! Since the recipe makes 8 scones, it's less than 1 tablespoon of butter per serving. Most bakery scones use twice as much butter and recipes you'll find in most cookbooks would call for about 10 tablespoons for the same amount of flour. So these are a healthier version of scones, but they don't taste "diety."

  • Malkien: Leaving out the oats will not work in this recipe unfortunately. There are tons of scone recipes that are oat-free however. Try a google search, and see what you find!

  • Thank you, this is great to be heathy and tasty!!!

  • What a fantastic way to start the day. Scones are about the only quick bread i haven't tried making yet but after this instructional, I'll definitely get right on it. Too bad my wife isn't a big fan of dried fruits though.

  • Yeah, but what does your wife not being a fan of dried fruits have to do with you enjoying them?

She can hopefully enjoy You enjoying them! Or, make half with dried fruit and half without.
