@IanWilson2010 Highly doubt it. Windows 7 by itself uses good portion of that 2gb RAM, let alone playing Battlefield 3. Your processor is also fairly old. There's not really any definitive answer to your question, but if it were me I would not shell out 60 bucks for a game that might run crappy even on the lowest settings. At the bare minimum you'll HAVE to upgrade your RAM to at least 4gb. Luckily that's not too expensive to do.

@bonnolog CPU or GPU? The GPU is OC'd a bit to make do with the 1080p. The CPU is OC'd to 166Mhz or 2.4Ghz.

@bonnolog I would definitely suggest OC the CPU if your computer can handle it. The GPU can be testy depending on your card. Every GPU is different.

How did you get online when it asks for the nvidia drivers 275.39, when the dell site for alienware mx11's only has the 263.08 drivers?

I ask as I have a mx11, but cant get onto the alpha.

@californiathing Interesting. Is your nvidia control panel set to quality or performance? Also are there 0 pre-rendered frames or set to 3 like the default is in that control panel? Mine is set to 0 and high performance and I play on medium settings, no AA, no HBAO without any issue.

@californiathing That's weird I can play BC2 on Very high settings (shadows low) I get 25+FPS 90% of the time, actually it rarely goes lower than 15, i'm on a R1.
