I'm afraid Elvis's version although good, it's inferior to this rendition by Roy Brown, If you listen to the Elvis version he pulls out all the stops to copy Roy Brown but slightly up-tempo. Elvis surely cashed in bigtime and stood on the shoulders of giants in relation to this song and artist...

LORD, et. al - Rock and Roll is rock and roll. If you can't recognize a song as rock and roll, whether it's 60 years old or 20 years old or brand new, then you have no idea what you're talking about.

Good Rockin' Tonight has it all. This is rock and roll at its most basic.

To the nut who dared to mention Iron Maiden - you're crazy. Iron Maiden is in no way rock and roll. And I do like some IM songs. But they are metal and most metal is not rock and roll.
