amazing car!!! realy good job dud, your new baby roks!!! love 71 cudas and i hope some day i can come with my own project to :), the american muscle cars are just sweet!!!
@enimsaj69 Thanks for the compliment. It was an awesome project. I'm happy with the results. In fact, I just had a series of photos taken of the car that you might like to see: 71cuda.net/71cuda_railyard.cfm . I wish your friend luck with his restoration project. The only advice I would offer is to have him make a plan for what he wants and stick to it. If he changes his mind along the way, it won't take long to get drowned in costs.
Honestly, I've never checked. I've only got 200 miles on the car right now and have just been enjoying the car. It really doesn't do too badly as I've only filled the tank twice since I got it out on the road. You've got me curious though. I'll have to test it out one of these days and see.
@sahiel5 only 200 but why???? if i had i car like that here in europ i would drive it every where just to show off in front of my buds and catch females xDDD !!!!!! and i woudnt care that it would ruin me :D
i ask about mpg cuz here we hear myth about :how its strugle to get 7 mpg
That's a shame, maybe I can come across a body one day for reasonable price. The '71 'cuda is my dream car. I own a '71 mustang, I love the late '60 early '70 muscle cars
@71cudajoe no dude this is the guy thats been emailing you about the list i have the 2011 and it isn't the same car but similar the paint is different i can send you a pic of it if you'd like to see it. I get these for free because my mom works at an auto body shop.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Keisler Engineering ROCKS!
Your team really helped me out when I needed it. I love the Tremec 5-speed. I have it in this car, and I had the same thing in my 69 Camaro (the car I owned prior to my 71 cuda). I wouldn't go with any other transmission!
Awesome looking final, but as it was a re-creation what was the starting point. 71 challenger or?
Thanks

@sahiel5 8 to 10 mpg can be expected from a hemi on carbs, if it has modern fuel injection you can expect around 18mpg.

@sahiel5 By the way, i have a 340 Cuda with a 4 barrel Holley carb, it does 15 mpg.

Sir, you have one beautiful car. The gloss black looks beautiful and that green just screams barracuda.
Do you happen to know if it is possible to purchase a new 1971 cuda body?
dgodfreyjr 1 year ago
@dgodfreyjr I don't believe anyone makes a re-body of the Cuda, but Dynacorn recently introduced a rebody of the 70 Challenger.

@jimmykudo23 -- Awesome. I'd like to see that calendar -- is there a sample of it online anywhere?
