  • no it's not on your range

  • I didn't see your before video but that wasn't much of an improvement. I can barely hear your vibrato and your off in tone. I'm not criticizing you don't worry, you're not bad. Your guitar playing is also very good. What I'm wondering is, if i should spend TWO HUNDRED dollars on that program singing success just to raise my range? - I hear it's range helping is minimum lol....

  • i am struggleing too man you got better

  • :)

  • I agree scott

  • Uhm, I dunno what people are saying, but dude you improved a lot. Yes, you are right, you have a long way to go, but improvements are being made... Have you done any live online vocal coaching with the SS instructors?

  • dont listen to people hating bro you improved alot and will continue too with practice and time. Congratulations :)

  • you actually GOT A LOT BETTER!

There are only a few notes in which you oscilate, I suggest you to be confident :)

  • Way to put yourself out there man. keep it going. I am using singing success and i went from where you were at the start to nearly 30 seconds to mars in about one year. and still getting better. keep it up. you have a dream so never give it up for anyone.

  • BTW, you're not tone deaf, as displayed in the piano exercise.

  • i think you got better !!

  • Good sharing. Your guitar work is very nice but I think it distracts you from your vocal, the video shows this, from your phrasing and volume changes let alone the other factors. IMO, listen to the song, it's lower and more relaxed than you're making it, maybe do the whole vocal in a low fry to get the jist. Your range demo on the piano was very good. Rzeznik is never easy and I really blew out my chords focusing on his style...the girls love it though, lol!

  • Honestly, I thought the chorus sounded better than the verse. HUGE improvement by the way man!

  • The throat has too much tension bro. That's the major prob then you can address the tone deaf issue. Good luck

  • good guitar

  • is the program worth it?

  • you sounded much better in the chorus than the verses

  • Holy crap, what kind of guitar is that? I like the sound of it.

  • you are very tone deaf, not much that was right.

  • @anvandarnamnnr1 I am very aware of that fact, lets keep the criticism constructive,

  • @anvandarnamnnr1 You realize that no one is TRULY tone-deaf... right?

  • @MrJellyman300 well if you cant hear diffrence of which key the song is in and stick with it, then you have a big problem. Its not something he can train.

  • @anvandarnamnnr1 Well, no, it can be fixed... It's do to improper technique. Any professional teacher will tell you that, unless they don't use proper technique...

  • @anvandarnamnnr1 I think that he's actually doing really good, he sounds a lot better than he did before, of course some of the notes he was singing were off but, midgetsrule93 your doing amazing, you just need to get your range a little higher :) It'll take time but hopefully you post up another video :)

  • Hey man can you post another video?? like the most recent! :)

  • Still pitch problems, but damn you have a really nice range and some clear potential in your voice

  • I would like to hear your chest voice.

  • @KCrenshaw09 Wasn't most of that chest voice? lol

  • @midgetsrule93 Hmm. I guess your voice is just kinda high. Put a capo on that guitar because that tuning is too low for you.

  • nice i just bought it but i don;t know how the ex. work how do i know when i need to start singing along or join back in someone ?? please

  • Hey man you have definately improved =D just a quick question. When you said you took each CD 2 weeks at a time did you go through all the exercises in each CD everyday for 2 weeks? Also how long do you practice each day?

  • u r soooo much better. just need to focus on tone. good job!!!!

  • @tawneyb THANKS!!!

  • wow, you're hitting those high notes! gooooodjob :D improvement

  • "its been a while" i can tell xD

  • this is a lot better than the before video. although u still have some pitch problems and a few technique problems, there are some actual good singing mixed in. u just need to replace the bad with the good and add some little more techniques and i think u'll be pretty good.

  • hes telling the truth rofl his hair got longer LOL

  • When did you start lessons?

  • @xxlondonlovexx I started in the end of this March and I will be done at the beginning of June... I will probebly post a video after they are finished

  • definitely better

  • Wow! Well done you for your dedication and evident motivation. Your hard work has definitely paid off. It was clear from your first video that you potential, and now you've really improved. I'm just about to start SS. I do music workshops for people in residential homes and keep getting requests for me to sing. I was concerned that I'd give up when it got tough, but your success and determination will now be my inspiration! Looking forward to more of your video updates.

  • @pammfh Yes I will definately be posting more

  • Your #1 issue is breath support dude. Its going to take forever using SS that way. Go to a classical coach for some breath support training to work your midsection compression. Your bridges are weak and unsupported and your head voice strained. Don't look at high notes as major goal - your mix is where the money notes are and mos songs are song. Strong mix equals string head voice.

But go get some classical breath support training.

  • @RocktheStageNYC Im actually taking lessons from a classical coach right now at my college :)

  • @midgetsrule93 - forget about any of the embellishments he might teach you like pure vowels etc. have him concentrate mostly on breath support from the sides and back muscles.

  • You need to stay connected through your bridges

  • Heey, you've definitely improved! It's great that you can finally hit the notes. Although, you still need a little work :) don't worry, just don't give up! :D I mean, others have results in three months, but if it takes you longer it's fine :) The important thing is your journey, not your destination. Good luck with your trainings and practices in the future. Hope to see you update another video when you're fully improved! :D

  • @Xos7ephoX Thanks! ya im taking a quarter of voice lessons at my college in a couple weeks so that should help alot! Thanks for the advice!

  • @midgetsrule93 your welcome :) just keep working on it ;D

  • well, here is what i have observed... you improved.. but not that much and also u always lose the tone... ur not in the right tone brother.. it's good that u can reach those high notes.. but what about ur tone... ur voice is kinda dead.. but keep up the good work!! always put in mind.. PRACTICE makes perfect. :D always practice.. sing anywhere

  • damnn you still suckk..umm whats the before? (-_-)...I used it and my results were great.

how is it I upload one of these youtube video.

plz guys don't let this vid discourage.

    lol seriously.

    Its an awesome program!!

  • @kadeemdexter I think your the only one discouraged by this lol. You would know that if you read the comments and seen the people who have been inspired to make their own videos because of this. Please do yourself and everyone else a favor and be productive, your not accomplishing anything

  • @midgetsrule93 Let me give u a tip. practice breathing in deeper and quicker and putting a little more effort slowly as u get better ,, singing is not as effortless as some talented singers make it look ;)

  • @MrGoldenmarin ya my one complaint about the ss program has always been they don't cover breat support. But ya I'll defintely working on that. Thanks for the advice!

  • I think Bretts program is good even though little bit expensive, but its worth it. But : I had some vocal issues and i went to a teacher and she was able in one class to bring my true voice out. That means if people want to make a start , fine, but if u are serious for pro lvl a teacher is essential.

Also, someone needs to go to really good teacher, I change 4 teachers only the last one notice i had a problem, the previous ones make my voice worst and cracky! So, be careful the teachers!

  • I'd recommend Singing Success to anyone. But people with some singing experience would get more improvement out of the program. It does require some basic knowledge. And it also requires for people to really listen to the explanations before each excersize. It's not all about improving range. And I found personally that a vocal coach can really help getting you started by giving you the basics.

  • Berths course is good in that when you do go to a live vocal coach you won't have to totally start at zero, thus wasting time and money, but if you are serious about this, you will get personalized training also. Sorry to be redundant about this, I ain't hating, I respect and support what you are tring to do. Next year this time you won't recognize yourself. Be well

  • I found personally when I did the pharyngeal exercises, it cleared up a lot of problems for me. Once you clear out "that upper room" you will have a lot of freedom to move around in. As good as Bretts material is, you need to have someone skilled listening to you also. I did this, and while I was, like you, able to make progress on my own, my coach was able to instantly pick out the flaws and work with me on that. Brett"

  • I can hear you need to work on your head voice a lot more. Are you doing the nay exercises? You need to open the pharyngal area a lot which will make the transition easier. IMO you need to not work on transitions and mix so much as you need to work in each range separately, and then put them together. I would also work on singing the songs you want to per for using vowel sounds instead of words in order to hear if you are really on the notes, which you aren't....yet.

  • Your progress will improve tremendously if you do the excercises in the course and work with a vocal coach. Nothing beats having a person in front of you to correct you instantly. What I hear in your voice is that you seem to be running out of air at times which is affecting tour tone attimes.

  • You've made a lot of improvement but like you said there's still room for improvement.

Maybe you should pay more attention on working on your ear than working on your tone. This will also improve your guitar skills. Once you can sing all the right notes you can still work on improving your tone.

I am not 100% sure if it's the best way to go but I feel that's what works best for me.

  • check out david lucas burge ear training courses, singing success help technique but the davidlucas burge stuff takes accuracy to a new level

  • @somerandom10 Im actually going threw his ear training stuff right now! Thanks!

  • dang man! improve a s**t load. nice. i have been trying to sing for 3 years. but u got better results in 7 months. Just wonderin how often and how long is each session when u practice singing?

  • @XrayAlexable I did it 6 times a week, 1 cd every two weeks

  • Dude This Is A 180degree Turn For Your Singing! You Went From Totally Terrible,Tone Deaf, and Way Off Keyed To an actual OK Singer. Still Alot to Improv But You're Getting THere1 How Can you Not Be satisfied with The Program ??????Lol Singing Is All About Repetition My Friend.! Keep Singing Broda!!!

  • The pitching is still off at times, but the tone has really improved! All the best, hoping u improve even further! :)

  • dude! this is soo much better then your before!! great jobb!

  • @daniofficiall thanks alot!

  • @midgetsrule93 your so welcome! I just got singing success in the mail today! and i am so excited to start!

  • @daniofficiall sweet let me know how it goes!

  • @midgetsrule93 I will! I would love it for you to subscribe! so you can give me feedback if it is working or not!

  • @daniofficiall for sure!

  • @daniofficiall you should do a before and after too.

  • every journey starts with 1st step ;and step by step you will certainly be a master .Donot get discouraged by anyone saying anything.Just keep on going enthusiastically and hapilly you will certainly succeed. Do email me since i wanna know more about the program .I had heard about this program around 6 yrs ago in India. Right now i am in US and will like to learn vocal..

    All the best

    Akhil

  • your hair grew longer!!

  • i like what you've done here and you're intention is great however, Brett Mannings Singing Success is to strengthen and work with something that you already have but you aren't in tune. I'm not meaning to insult you, i just think that there needs to be some natural ability there in the first place to build upon, so you should consider some actual singing lessons with a tutor because they will hear you sing, tell yu when your singing flat or sharp and you'll learn to place the notes properly.

  • @minchy6 thanks for the advice! thats a much better way of putting it. My mom is actually a very talents vocal instructer and I do plan on training with her very soon

  • Comment removed

  • @fenderbender27 and there is alot of people who dont understand the intent of this video, first I have no intent of being a professional and second this is only 5 months into a life long process so it would be foolish of you to judge what my voice might sound like now instead of say 10 years down the road when I intead to do something more important with my music. I appreciate the intent in which you wrote that comment but please save brutal honesty for those who need it

  • yep, huge difference...Now u have a better tone which is really key (i think) now if you work on the pitch, you'll be totally transformed. Your voice is actually unique(in a good way)

  • You improved alot! I think you should seek singing lessons nearby or get lessons from someone who sings well in church. Like you said, the journey isn't over. You still have a long way to go but you also have come along way. So just don't give up and stick to your dream.

  • thx for posting this..

  • your tone has improved greatly your tone was very bottom heavy before but now you have a more consistent head tone that underlines your chest voice. one sugestions i have to continue to better your singin is to look into doing some ear trainin. its my opinion that maintaining precise pitch is your biggest ailment at this point. i would suggest lookin into the david lucas burge eartraining course, or this site zebrakeys(dot)com/resources/musictools/intervaleartrainer/

    Great Things

    Ivan

  • its sounds good, but it sounds like you're just talking, not actually singing.

  • Wouldn´t it be good to sing the original song you did on the first video? This one is cool but it would be easier to compare. BTW the marketing on singing success is obviously exaggerated. I think your tone has improved, maybe a little more work on tuning is needed.

  • it sounds like your range has been dramatically increased! great job

  • huge improvement....sometimes a little off but your getting better and your voice starts sounding unique...keep it up i'm working with the programm too :P

  • Keep it up, man!

  • range is good, but pitch still needs some work. But well done, nyways.

  • i am a ok singer and then when i found out bout singing success then i watched the lil b4 and after then i thought this is fake then i watched this vid b4 and after and i really saw the diff might buy it!!!

  • 10 more years and u'll be ready to go lol

  • very good, i also have singingsuccess, how do you practice it? I myself use each video 5min per video

  • I know this isn't on the Brett Manning series but I think you should try to sing it more airy and floating. I hear teachers say don't sing airy, and then I hear singers who are popular singing airy. Go figure.

  • @TheBug1961 YO should sing how the song requires. Note that 'airy' singing is often unpleasant, even in pop songs.

  • I can hear a big difference. I personally think you did very good with the Goo Goo Dolls song, the chorus could use work like you said. But that was great. I appreciate that you did this video, lets me see an honest review of the product. Good luck

  • @ixoye81 thanks!

  • Huge HUGE improvement! Keep up the good work!

  • you may have improved on the quality of your emission, but you're still extremely off-key and you still suck.

your voice breaks upon changing registers and you wouldn't strain strain your voice when you go into the high part of your voice if you would have actually learned anything from the program.

    i'm sorry dude....

  • @sicedacalalala well then I guess its good I don't care what you have to say

  • @midgetsrule93

i don't think you were off key, but you do need to relax and make the song sound easy. remember your an actor, your supposed to sound cool and calm and when the moments right, you say the chorus with power and confidence. but remember no pushing pulling or squeezing, practice smart!!.

if you need help the singing success website has an open forum. good luck in your pursuits...... and quit being so defensive!!

  • @woeitsme Thanks for the advice! and if people are gonna be negative on here for now reason, I will defend my self.

  • @woeitsme Thanks for the advice! and if people are gonna be negative on here for now reason, I will defend my self.

  • @woeitsme Thanks for the advice! and if people are gonna be negative on here for now reason, I will defend my self.

  • dude huge difference awesome. although you do need some work still, its sooooo much better than the last video i have to be honest haha

  • Wow, haha you getting it man, very inspiring =]

  • @NonnashannoN Thanks! I hope to see follow your passion aswell!

  • @midgetsrule93

Good job dude. Just a question. After I finish the program do you know what I should do to keep the results I get? And How do I improve the results I gained? Thanks man

  • @Whoamazing83 just keep doing the program or do mastering mix or something

  • Oh.... I think you need a little hear training:S

  • Hey that is great. You have really improved in a few short months. Keep up the good work.

  • @SingingTips Thanks!

  • well, too much tention u have only probably 2 octaves with tension, get rid of that.

  • @androcci yah thats not something I can just get rid of just like that... it'll take time, but it will happen lol

  • tone is no longer the problem :) you should work on pitch now.

  • this program works even better if u have a real vocal coach ;D

  • Keep up the good work. You have a nice tone and a good start. the last scale showed you understand the sound andk have the potential. Enjoy the journey.

  • dude that's sick :)

    you've gotten way better!

i've been using it for like 2 years and you've probably gotten better much faster than me

then again, i sing like 6 hours a day so i probably overdo my voice haha

and btw, if i were you i'd stop doing the zen of screaming if you haven't already...the fry screaming kinda hurt my voice, and even though she's not a BAD teacher, screaming isn't something you wanna play around with w/o a teacher..i'd say focus on clean singing if you wanna get better

  • @xblackxsailsx yah I havent done zen of screaming in a long time. I want to get into metal vocals a little bit but I want do that for a couple years or atleast till im a solid clean vocalist. Thanks for the feedback!

  • @xblackxsailsx thats why it does not work -- because you sing to much 6 hours !! :O only 2 hours you can sing because more than 2 you can destroy your voice ..

  • Thats a pretty good improvment. I may join in with you on posting some before and after videos. I'm planning on buying this myself.

  • @srjrfan88 awesome! id love to see them when your done!

  • Comment removed

  • @midgetsrule93 I posted my before video today.

  • Wow you hit some high notes there, i don't even think i can do that :P Definitely improved. But like zh3ll said still pitchy problem. out of tune sometimes. I strongly suggest to lookup some 'mix' videos from the singingsuccess channels there's plenty of videos about it. You can learn ALOT from that very quickly. Just play around with your voice ;) Waiting for your next video....

  • Your voice seems to be more complete now, it's true that your tone quality improved. Though there's still pitchy parts, but i have to say, you did improve :)
