where are you in the scene? what were you doing as he walked in? The scene could have been carried out in a kitchen, park or restaurant for all any one cares. You have to set the scene and create the world. Or else your just standing up there waving hands. also break the scene into beats, its not all just one emotion for either characters. These characters love each other but they believe the other is falling away. They will use tons of tactics to hold on to that love. Great scene though!!
I performed as Pilot in a heavily edited scene between Him and the prosecutioner...this is my alltime favorite script, and I liked what you did her, this is a very touching scene, and you did it well...it makes me remember the scene I did
thanks! I just saw this play last night in Long Beach and was blown away. I thought we did pretty good in this scene, but those guys were amazing. It really is an awesome script and I hope one day to do a full length production of it.
actually, tonight was my third time seeing it there. such an amazing show...amazing cast...and yeah, just amazing in general. I wish tonight was closing night because I could honestly see it three more times.
yeah. i wanted to see it again too because i'm really short and i got a seat in the back, and sometimes i got lost because i saw two of my teachers in the play and i was just so shocked that i couldn't concentrate. haha. this was my first time seeing something at garage theatre...i think i should plan on going there more often. : )
oh yeah--just saying that you don't have to listen to anything i say because in all honesty, i don't really know what i'm talking about, but i feel like i owe it to you to comment on the video since i'm--well, commenting on the video.
maybe it's just the way matthew anderson did judas and so i'm biased towards him, but if i were really angry at someone that deep deep deep DEEP inside i actually loved and cared for, i wouldn't chance even a look at him, because that might sway me to love him
again. and every time he like, reached out to you and touched your shoulder, there was like, no reaction. yknow? if you're trying to hate someone really badly, just being around them makes you feel grimy and unclean because you know that if he comes even a little bit closer, you're gonna give in and beg him to forgive you. and it was like, really easy for you to say "i don't love you" to him, and maybe it shouldn't have been.
it's funny because I thought we did pretty good on this scene, but after seeing the full play at the garage, I'm not as confident in how we performed this. I think it hurt that neither of us read the full play or knew what was leading up to the scene.
oh well, at the very least it led me to discover an awesome play :)
hey I was wondering where the script can be found i've been looking for it eveywhere but i can't find it... any ideas? and great performance :D

haha. perhaps, perhaps. i do think that it was good that you captured a side where jesus and judas actually seemed a little chummy. :)
