@oktimeforplanc2011 There is a law in the United States that specifically states that unauthorized use of sold data is a felony and with the advent of the internet getting someone's IP and then using that to get their address via ISP (in this case it'd be Microsoft's xbox live division to see who redeemed that code) has never been easier. Takes about a week or so. Even if it's international theft it violates Xbox live user agreement so their service is in jeopardy.
