  • guess you haven't been to Australia, where it was invented 20 years ago. Or New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia or any country in the EU that also use the "new" money. hehehehe

  • did they do that to all the canadian bills or just for the 100 dollar bill?

  • @jihoo134 So far just the $100 bill

  • @jihoo134 The lower denominations are supposed to start getting this treatment in the spring.

  • @RodMacPherson Yes, for the $50. There is rumour going around that the $20 bill will get the polymer treatment later in 2012. The $10 and $5 bills will be issued sometime in 2013, from what I read.

  • @jihoo134 So far the $100 was made plastic. There will be a new $50 bill in March, and I heard rumour there will be a new $20 bill later in 2012 (wondering if the release of the new $20 bill will commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee?). It is announced that the $10 and $5 bills will follow suit in 2013.

  • you can wash it? =D

  • @scuffle Yes it will survive a trip through the laundry machine

  • looks cool.
