  • umm crazy chris i have an question? where do u think i can buy dry ice ??

    i have a way good experiment what u need is*dry ice+hot water+soap* u put

dry ice in the hot water and putting soap on what will happens is the dry ice mix

together with soap and be to bubbles when the small bubbles explode it will release CO2!! :D

  • @jack342able Yes, I've herd of that experiment where you make dry ice bubbles, but i thought exploding a balloon uding dry ice was more impressive :D go to yellow pages online type "dry ice" + where you live and it should give you a list of places that sell dry ice. I dont know the rules on dry ice in Denmark but here in the US you cant buy dry ice unless your 18 or 21 in some states. chec your local dry ice laws.

  • ok now i already know what is dry ice actually, it is carbon dioxide (CO2) which is condensated (solidificated), right ? but my question is : How do you condensate CO2 ?

im sure u need a special machine or someting but i really want to know this...

and also where can i get Isopropylic alcohol 99% ?

and please, may I note that this is needed for my experiment, so NO HATE OR STUPID ANSWER PLZ!! I'd rather take "I don't know dude" for an answer, thanX ciao!

  • @PlatynumEagle CO2 gas is compressed and cooled in an industrialized fridge till it forms liquid CO2. Once liquidised they quickly release the press, a quick release of pressure cause the CO2 liquid to expand, this quick expantion cauase the CO2 to form CO2 snow, This CO2 snow is compressed into bricks or pellets to form dry dry ice.

Try a drug store for 99% alcholhol solution or a pharmacy. Good luck on your experiment :)

  • @Socoolscienceshow ok thnx 4 the explanation but i kinda forgot to tell you that 99% alcohol cannot be found in ANY drug store, well maybe in USA, but here in Canada, no chance...70% is the highest concentration that can be found in an ordinary drug store/pharmacy. but thanx anyway 4 the good luck, let's just hope i don't fail.....AGAIN!! lol peace!

  • @PlatynumEagle then i guess the best place to look is onling and have it shipped to you. Good luck heres hoping you dont fail :D

  • i thought adults were needed to make the baby experiment

  • @Ericmsufan32 There are many parents who show the so cool science show to thier 5 year olds so just incase those children are watching this by themselfs I dont want them to get hurt. I make sure to add you need an adult so other peoples children dont get hurt.

  • y did u use gloves?

  • @puppylover1934 cuz dry ice can burn your fingers

  • @Socoolscienceshow o lol well im stupid

  • @puppylover1934 I wouldnt say stupid :)

  • haha i want dry ice

btw one time my friend and I did the same experiment- except instead of having a baloon, we capped off the bottle

    ..........................................

    It was a bigger bang

  • Yeah I've done that where you make a dry ice bomb. (expirment at your own risk :)

I like to keep the expirments safe enough for everyone to be able to do them. Other wise I would of done this by caping it off.

  • I've always want to do experiments with dry ice. Where I live, you have to have a license to buy it. It really sucks, because dry ice seems so awesome and fun to experiment with.

    Awesome video btw. =D

  • There are some places where you can purchase dry ice bricks if you tell them you need it for refridgerating frozen foods that are being moved. I belive you have to be 18 or older to purchase it. I know when I got my dry ice, I had to fill out a form expling what the dry ice was for & contact information. They do this, because they dont want dry ice fallling into the wrong hands. Soem people use dry ice for other reason beside keeping food cold or science expirments. =^D

  • Boom went the Plastic Bottle!

I think that's the reason why. XD

  • thanks, i needed to know sublimation for my homework

  • Im glad I could be your help.

  • wow thanks nice video!

  • Thanks very much, Im glad that I could be an inspiration to you for contiuing making videos on youtube. !Never Give Up, Never Surender!

  • Why does dry ice burn you?

  • When you hold dry ice your hand isnt really being burned. The cells in your hand get forzen by the dry ice. Ice crystals form inside of the cell & break the cell membrane. When enough cell memebranes break open, the plasma released from the broken cells, triggors nerve cells to send a burning sensation to your brain. This same sensation happens when you realy do burn you hand on something hot, only differences is the heat melts the cell membranes spilling the plasma inside of the cell.

  • Go outside pore some worm water halfway full in a pepsi bottle drop some dry ice and put the cap on run like hell.

  • SCARY but cool. LOLZ
