By the way, it would have been nice if you mentioned the fuel economy while you were talking. In the drive it sounded like you just had nothing prepared to say, so you babbled a bit. Still, great for a first go at it, and well prepared.
@ChaplainC Thanks for the advice. I seem to do that a lot, where there is one particular word, which I will use many times when I talk, only in front of the camera however. Its all with experience, the more comfortable I get with it, the better they will be. Just a little mistype, usually I am careful with that however. I will definitely mention fuel economy in the future for any more reviews that I do as it is helpful. Thanks again for your words and helpful advice, I always appreciate it.
Well done, very informative, very professional, smooth and easy transitions. (they need work of course, but good for a starting effort). I would really pay attention to your verbal pauses. You must have said "I mean" twenty times in this 9:03 second review. I would also mention that it would be very wise to listen to your comments read by the computer before you post. Above you said "it is much nice." rather than much nicer...Lends to itself professionalism. Great Job, Thx
Great review, bud! You have a lot of good info. Slow down a bit and let people soak up your words. Keep it up and you will take the place of one of the guys on Top Gear America!
@calston23 Most of them will, some of them it might be an option to have it. On all 7 series(al least 2002 and newer) yes they all have keyless entry and keyless start. If you watch part 2 of this video I talk about that a little.
@van0sgym Usually I will just ignore these comments cause the ignorance and dickness. However, since you did neither of those things I will tell I am actually 16 and I turn 17 in may:).
@van0sgym Thats fine, it sucks that you have to wait two years, but the way that some 16 and 17 year olds drive, maybe they should wait a year or two to be honest lol. But anyways, yeah the 3 series is a great car, in 2006 they did a redesign which looks much nice, but only if you got a sedan, they didn't redesign the coupe or convertible till 2007. Either way, its a great to have and I hope you enjoy it.
Hey!! I'm thinking about buying a 2005 740li but it has 117k miles. Would this be a good idea. Everyone tells me that a high mileage would be 200k for this vehicle. Would do you think, I mean its beautiful. And what problems does this vehicle typically have
@fpratt Good question, we actually just passed the 120,000 mile mark last weekend and it still runs like it has 20 miles on it. At 117k, I would say its at a higher millage, but not high, seen several on sale at over 150k. You know these cars are very expensive at first, but they run forever, so the investment is actually quite good. As far as problems, I've just had a bulb go out, and the AC stopped working(warranty fixed it). And its been running perfect since then(about 30,000 miles ago).
@TheCarVlogger i'm thinking of getting the 2002 version of the bmw 745i or 745li, do you know if any of these cars have alot of problems? i do not want to be raped in maintenance fixes, my goal is to get one around 120-150k kilometers on it
i was wondering does the sport package for this car come with paddleshifters or can you switch between automatic and manual driving or is it all automatic?
@thebballking97 I recommend watching part 2 to this video(I talk about how the transmissions works a bit). Regardless of if you have the sport package or not, you get a 6 speed automatic, however, there is a sport and manual bottom. For shifting, there aren't really paddles, but four buttons, two on the back and two on the front, click either the left or right buttons on the back to shift up(in manual mode) and push either the left or right button on the front to shift down. Hope this helps.
@TheCarVlogger These wheels don't comes from a sport package, you have standard 19" rims (Styling 95). Sport package includes rims Styling 126, three-spoke sporting steering wheel, shadow line windows bars and more others..
@Individual750 They do actually. The standard rims are 18" ones. The way BMW does it, is actually really cool, you can get the sport package, but choose which parts you want to get(they still do that now). When we got ours, we really wanted the 19" wheels as they looked the best, and the 18" ones were really not fitting to the 7 series. However, we didn't want the 3 spoke steering wheel(looks to much like a 3 series wheel) or the black trim(which makes it look shorter, like a regular i, not li).
@TheCarVlogger 18" rims are standard only in 760i/760Li models (rims code- Styling 91) . Others model have 17" (Styling 165) in standard. Btw very nice car! ;)
@Individual750 Are you by any chance in a country other than the US? Here in American the e65/e66 smallest wheel size was 18", the 165 style, like you mentioned. I know in europe and other countries, its different, maybe with the 730 and so on you have different choices, here were a little more limited:(. Thanks for the compliment, right back at ya!
@djfrankiefresh1 Yeah, everyone does, the speed limit is 70 on the freeway. But news flash, that x5 is not even close to as fast as the 745 so stop talking trash please.
@dawide55 Sorry you didn't like it, many other people did so I'm very happy about that. And yes, I do, I've had it for nearly a year now and have a perfect driving record.
@saeep wow ok as far as the fuel tank locking, These cars have keyless entry so when you try and push the door open, since you have your key with you, it'll unlock(I'm assuming you have you key with you , if no, you probably have a locking problem). Well I had an issue where it didn't blow any air and I brought it to BMW and they fixed it. The problem with cars this high tech, its hard to fix anything by yourself and you will probably need to go to BMW to get your problems addressed.
@500bmw1 I'm guessing that you have a 760. It has a 6.0 liter 438 hp v12. Unless you did some kind of tuning to a 745, but having identical numbers to a 760, i'm assuming thats what you mean.
Thanks to this video i just purchased me a 2004 745Li about 10 hrs ago...I love it I have been playing with the i-drive system for nearly 3 hrs now...again great video to go along with the best automobile purchase I've ever made
Dont listen to the haters. I watched your video before I purchased my 745 Li and it was very helpful. It gave me a good idea of what this car can do. I love my 745 Li.
@aznteabags Thanks for the kind words. That is literally the exact reason I did this video. It's great that it did make a difference in someone's decision. It is really a great car, enjoy it and take good care of it.
@paidvacationsdotca Fantastic, yeah its a amazing car. The cooler I figured out by mistake, I put a drink in there and when I took it out it was so cold, I was astounded. The 745 is truly a masterpiece, I don't think that we'll ever not buy another 7 series. Thanks for watching!
