The 32V Northstar is a great engine. Your car doesn't sound right. Sounds restricted. Need individual running headers and replace catalytic converter with performance one then have your performance mufflers installed. Don't forget the performance chip. Good luck
I have a 98 eldorado, and I had flo pros on mine and it wasnt very loud, then I switched to Thrush mufflers and it really wasnt much different. Guy said I had resonator on it. I dont get why mine has it when everyone elses doesnt
@mtflight well i crawled under it to have a look and all there is, is a cat, and I cant cut that off cuz it will set off the check engine light. Thanks 4 the info
@Fuelinjected351 you wish it sounded better, not only is it alot weaker it doesnt have the lungs a northstar does. 32 valves make for a nice exhaust note
@Fuelinjected351 I'd like to see that video , either way I still love cads, northstar or not, I'm obviously more partial to the N* but cant hate on a Cadillac
@phoenixsmerk we didnt film it cause he was some prix that i just wanted to shut up and i didnt have my freind there to film. to be fair though he had an earlier N* and we all know the problems cadillac first had when those came out. but yea there both good engine. the newer N* are much better then the early N*. eitherway I like all cadllacs and atleast both engines can kick some ricer ass lol
@Fuelinjected351 No you didn't boy. I'll race your shit box with my '96 ETC NorthStar anytime punk. Ricers get a rude awakening. This ain't you pap's Cadi. I'll see you in the rear view.
Really good video.. quick question, i have a 95' sls seville and ordered a pair of Universal Remus Style DTM Dual Square Tip Mufflers. will these fit correctly on my caddy??
I believe it was either 95 or 96 where the exhaust system was manufactured in stainless steel (prior to that it was probably aluminized). So it's not uncommon to see prior cars with aftermarket exhaust components (mufflers included).
In the same year (when stainless was standard) the exhaust system became quieter. There was an extra resonator behind the catalytic converter, and possibly longer mufflers (on my eldo they were 20"s!!).

@Mahnza123 Right, the 96 and up were much quieter. You could take out the resonator.
