That fight won't happen. Cyborg is too risky of a fighter to put in with Carano meanin she has a greater chance of winning than most girls and that's bad for business. Elite wants to keep Gina as one of their marketing deals, etc. Not to say that Gina can't win but it's risky.

Shaw is from boxing, when two fighters have been speculated about fighting and they end up on the same card, that is a tell that if both make it through, then that fight is in the works for the near future. Elite cannot Baby Carano, if they hope to stay afloat they have to do a better job of building around more than a few fighters (Kimbo, Carano & Diaz) especially since two of the three have already been shown to be less than the best. That said, I hope they go under, busch league org.

Gina is not that good a fighter -- she's just better than the fighters she's faced. She has good boxing abibilities - and Kelly did the right thing trying to get her to the ground. But Gina will eventually get hit a few times by a better boxer, and then we'll see what she's really made of.

The fighters she has faced are good though. Kobold gave Tara LaRosa a run for her money. Rosi Sexton is 9-1, Julie Kedzie is quite experienced, and Gina submitted a wrestler, Tonya Evinger who has a good record herself. They're not all cans. Gina's also a Muay Thai champion and had a 12-1-1 record in that so if these 21 fights haven't shown how great of a fighter she is, how many more will it take?

If Kelly would have won just by punching Gina in the face (Which didn't seem to be the case when they were standing and throwing punches) then that would mean that the clinch was wasting time.

When Kelly did bring her down, it's hard to say if she would have won with loner rounds because Gina's ground game is improving. You could argue the same thing with Gina after the end of round one when Gina was throwing a lot of successful punches.
