1999 Pontiac Sunfire hits 200,000k

I have a 1999 sunfire. Had to replace the engine 6 years ago but it's currently at 150,000. My ABS completely went out though and the car shakes now. My sunfire probably won't make it to 200,000 :(

i had a caviler same car pretty much that had 300,000 miles on it and is still running today. i had an astro van AWD that had 289,000 when i sold it and it is still running. my dad got 345,000 out of his 4.3l s10 and it still ran good when he traded it in lol. its a gm what more can you say.

I know someone who had driven a sunfire too 400000 km and then later put it in the crash derby. that car went onto the finals in the derby. I find these cars really reliable.

i had a 1989 nissan 240sx with 335,000 kms on it and it still ran mint except for the burning oil problem lol. got rid of it and bought a 97 sunfire gt with 300,000 on the body and swapped to a 2.4 with 178,on it body still looks liked new

I had the same year 1999 ponti sunfire 99,989 miles when I was in an accident @ 40 mph it looked very similar - they are great cars I was gonna drive that thing into the ground if I could - My airbags deployed and I broke my wrist in the accident but I'm alive not to mention the other car was an SUV - They really take a hit! My accident was on 4/19/2010 and I bought it in 2000 with 14,000 miles on it. I did reg maintenance on it never had ANY major problems! They r amazing!

Well, my 1999 Sunfire is at 200158 miles. Only problem with it is I think wheel bearings need to be replaced. I didn't really start taking care of it until 160000 miles either, so, yeah lol. If you keep fair maintenence you probably won't even have a problem with the car for a year, and then you may need to replace something; coolant and backlights are an issue on my car but I just keep them broken

Those roadmaster speakers are not bad for $20. Had them but one messed up after a few years so took back to walmart and got the $20 durabrand 4 way speakers. Been I 3 cars and still working.

the paint was faded from sitting in the sun so i gave it the "rat rod" treatment.
