i can't get a good sound out of the AER on my archtop,... are you going directly in the AMP or are you getting some acoustic sounds from the mic??

  • beautiful

  • Very lyrical bass line, indeed...:) also dig the sound and touch. Thanks for playing!

  • youre a genius sir. ill be watching your videos!

  • Great performance. You play very well !

  • I thought it was a 67 because the sunburst was that color in only two years, 67 and 68. The knobs were another give away and I can see it was never re fretted unless who ever did it took the binding off and re did it like Gibson. Gibson has the white on the binding cover the end of the fret. Unique and hard to do if you don't have the know how. Great playing. I definitely love your videos. What area are you from? I live in the desert in CA. Palm Desert. It's near Palm Springs.

  • Love this version. It swings like Joe Pass. I play this song and did for a long time and then for some reason I didn't for a while. I started playing it again and re-voiced it. I originally did it on my Classical guitar an Oribe GS. Now I am doing it on my Custom Heritage Golden Eagle. It is a Johnny Smith actually.

I loved your guitar! It appears to be a Johnny Smith with both pickups and the tail piece is an L5 tail piece. What year is it? I am guessing late 60's. Lovely instrument.

  • you've got an eagle eye! yes, this is a '67 johnny smith. thanks for your kind words and for listening...you should post some of your versions... would love to hear it!

  • Top notch ...5 stars no doubt! Wish I could play like that. I subscribed..KEEPON STRUMMIN.......DALLAS
