yes i remember ranchoes, outer spacers, can still get ringos for 20p a bag from a shop near me, magic! how about Hanky Panky crisps with Arthur Lowe on the advert?
my favourate were bones (salt and vinegar)it was a black bag with a skeleton on the front they also made wings claws and fangs....can you remember farmer browns, kung fueys, rancheros, cheese savours, outer spacers, ringos, mini chips...
God, I remember things being soooooo tasty in the 70's. Evertythings so bland now. Dunno whether my taste buds are all dead or whether they've just banned the E numbers and additives that went into making stuff like this and Outer Spacers.
Crisps are so gay now that it makes my nuts hurt. :-I
LOL biopsycho - didn't we have a great diet! I was given a free sample of Nutty Bars (and a survey to fill in - Did you think Nutty Bar was a)too nutty b)very nutty c)reasonably nutty d)not nutty enough) by a lady in the park when I was about 12 (early 70's). A stranger legitimately handing out sweets to kids in the park. Ahh those were the days!!!
Oh yes, a superb diet. I remember going to the chip shop and paying 12p for a bag of chips...BUT...asking for "batter bits" OMG! Batter bits! Pure fried fat with salt and vinegar Mmmmmmmmmmmm lol
Oh my god! Ive been asking if anyone remembers these and no one does! Same with Frys 5 centres, Milk Tray Bar, Texan, Cabanas, KP Rock N Rollers, All Stars and Saucy Tomato Wotsits!
my mum has mentioned fry's 5 centres, the milk tray bar & texans! she keeps saying that they should bring them back! i only remember sweeties that were out in the 80's and 90's! which they should bring back!
I see now it is Frank Thornton. This was on TV when I was a kid and my father asked "Do you know who that is?". I said no and he said "That's Captain Peacock".

Partly to blame for 70's childhood obesity, I was partial to fangs, so much classier than monster munch
