You're right, and there 's also a another original breton version by Gilles Servat.

Sung here in French by Alan Stivell from one of his early albums ('70's). There is a less romantic version in the original Breton by Dan ar Braz, and a Gaidhlig version by Julie Fowlis (Rugadh mi 'teis meadhan na mara).
