As a U.S. antique phone collector I enjoyed hearing about the UK GPO700 series. I found the top ten iconiccell phones site interesting too since old cell phones will now become collectors items.

@silntdoogood yes thay are great, and they are on the UK ebay site, quite cheap still and very easy to convert to a non-uk system

@silntdoogood yes good point, maybe worth asking the seller for an estimate of postal costs, not a heavy phone at all. i have two trimphones, a dial one and a push-button one, both have the same shrill warble, which increases in intensity, the longer it rings. did you know that the dial ones have an illuminated dial, which glows in the dark, kind of turquoise/aqua blue, very cool? hope this helps
