I think that anyone who's played Halo 2 can agree that they always hear the voice - however I've noticed that the Elites mandibles do not move unless you melee his body.

When I was originally playing the game it confused me - I didn't know if it was supposed to be the Elite on the floor (He is "dead" after all) or if it was some other kind of Elite elsewhere. I posted this video to show a friend.

He can't be wounded, why would he be? That doesn't happen in any Halo game, and if he is alive, the reticle would be green if you target him, plus, the sword slash should've killed him.

You can get nine elite allies in this level, run straight past the Brutes at the start to the place with the two grunts, kill them and you'll find there's the Elite with the plasma sword and two more with carbines, go back to the places with the slaughtered elites and a zeolot and minors will drop in as usual.
