My older brother was a newspaper boy who delivered the daily news to the Ford home back when he lived in Michigan. One Christmas, my brother was ill, so I did the route for him. It's a great speech. I think Kissinger sums Ford up rather well. I think Ford was a centrist. He was a very decent president and person. He remained a principled person, even in power. That's not easy to do. He was a humanitarian and not driven by ambition, but by decency. He was a republican before republicans became economic and social fanatics--- A great American, with moral fortitude and bravery. He was no genius, but he was also no fool, regardless of leftist propaganda on the matter.
