The eddy currents always resist the motion of the magnet. There's no free energy here, just gravitational potential energy being converted into heat via current flowing through the pipe. I have made a rail gun and it works great, but the idea of a circular rail gun acting as a magnetic motor, impossible. The energy the kid in the video uses to load the rail gun is the same as the energy released. It is not obvious but that is the reality.

Particle colliders and magnetic motors require an external power. What if it circled the Earth? I suppose that introduces other problems, like Earth's own fields, huh? I see no obvious reasons for magnetic motors not to work. It´s only a matter of creating the wright balance/unbalance scheme.

You see no obvious reason for magnetic motors not to work, that means you haven't looked at the right reasons then. The force required to bring to makes together is exactly the same as the force released when they separate. Therefore no net energy gain, therefore no output. Aside from thermodynamic reasons common sense sense shows it's impossible.

@jgbloyd - not a fake. You have missed the point. To convert a rail gun to a motor is impossible. I have made a rail gun and it works great, but the idea of a circular rail gun acting as a magnetic motor, impossible. The energy the kid in the video uses to load the rail gun is the same as the energy released. It is not obvious but that is the reality.

@LiamXaoh I see your point. Going in a circle means changing velocity. Getting the bullet back to its point of origin is what the kid's hand has to do. Particle colliders and magnetic motors require an external power. What if it circled the Earth? I suppose that introduces other problems, like Earth's own fields, huh? What does happen to magnets in orbit?

@jgbloyd - I hadn't thought about circling the earth. But the problem would be the same, it takes energy to get back into the repelling field, and the energy requirement (A) would equal that gained (B) from being propelled by the field. A = B. No net gain. No free energy.

@LiamXaoh I guess I'm not thinking in terms of free energy because I was trying to suggest using gravity to get the bullet or whatever back to it's point of origin. But I'm guessing something else would then arise, like a shift in the polars of the device or something...

@jbrun009 - They don't need to. You need to remember that only 19.65% of all oil drilled is actually turned into Gas for motor vehicles. So its not like the Oil companies are going ANYWHERE. Even if they lost Deisel, Home and Heating Oil, and all other Oil as Fuel sources, 50-60% are used as lubricants and plastics and other products. A better question is, "why are the oil companies not encouraging this technology to help them drill. For every gallon they save drilling, thats a gallon for sale.

if it was possible (I'd like to believe it is), don't you think oil companies would've bought the tech behind it? They know oil is running out and people don't want to pollute any more. Wouldn't it make sense that they would make the switch over?

@enwelz This was a primitive prototype check out Yildiz videos for modern versions that are well made and better thought out. The guy obviously would not get backing as it would turn the taxation system of the planet upside down in a matter of months.

I was unable to find even a single instance where the law of conservation of energy could be broken even after looking through the work of just over 100 years worth of overunity research material left behind by the many who have tried and failed in the past.
