  • Hearing this ballad makes me want to go back in time so I can hear classic country such as this. RIP Red Sovine, you made truckers proud to be truckers.

  • Thank you, RED. RIP, my man!

  • Ive seen so many fatal accidents as a HGv driver it breaks my heart so never leave home on a argument x

  • yeah i think they really need to too... i lost a friend 1 year ago

  • every kid needs to listen to this song theres to much truth here

  • heard this on KXLU stella's stray pop show. Amazingly horrific yet calm and wonderous. a MUST hear!!

  • Love His songs so real

  • one of my coworkers children was texting behind the wheel last year. she hit a curve and boned into a truck. her and her passenger were killed instantly.

the passenger was her fiances baby sister, only 18. the fiance was driving behind them and texting to her. he heard it all and saw the accident. he had to drive up and see them pulled out.

    it affected a whole community.

so before you text behind the wheel think is that message worth your life?

  • maybe if kids listened to this they would slow down a little

  • thank you for posting !!

  • Applaud, Applaud, Applaud, !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Such a classic man and his work to have this be his last song

  • Woodrow W. "Red" Sovine

    Birth: Jul. 7, 1917

    Death: Apr. 4, 1980

Musician. Born Woodrow Wilson Sovine in Charleston, West Virginia, he was a guitarist and country singer most noted for truck driver songs. He died of a heart attack while driving his van in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Crackin tune.

  • Goodbye young man.

  • Every teenager should listen to this song and think the next time they lie to their parents about anything.

  • i think this song and last kiss should be played at all drivers ed classes

  • kids these days really need to drive safe . no drinking , drugging, texting, messing with the radio or speeding.life is to short. you never when God will call your number so be safe know God and go to church.we need more children in our churches .they learn by example ,so instead of sending your kids off to sunday school and staying at home go with them youll be suprised how mush a child can learn.

  • Someone should get this song to the Drivers Ed, Teacher, in ALL Schools

  • MY SON DIED IN 2007 AT THE AGE OF 21 IN A CAR ACCIDENT. Young kids..... take care........ and whatever u do....... know Jesus Christ.

  • On April 4, 1980, Sovine suffered a heart attack while driving his Ford van in Nashville, which caused him to crash. The injuries and his heart attack were fatal.

  • Red Sovine didn't pass from an accident! He passed in 1980 from Heart Problems!

    Read up on his life!

  • very touching song stops and makes a person think

  • plez keep this song on here ,it was played @ my very best friends funeral .ty

  • I like anything Red Sovine sings. He is A 1

  • what a downer

  • I've never heard this song before. Thanks for posting. Red is an awesome storyteller.

  • this last song red did is to make these young lead foot kids see that what can happen in the blink of an eye --red was killed in a car crash shortly after this song

  • @rg3855 Not just the car crash, but a heart attack as he drove. It's a shame, really. Red is just one of many talented musicians that you do not hear so much about from the media anymore.

  • Red Sovine passed away in 1980 from Heart Problems..NOT a car accident!!

  • I had a friend in high school killed in a car wreck. She was only 17. This song brought tears to this Marine's eyes. Truly a great song.

  • Not quite his best, but special because it was his last.

  • some 1 might say they have copy writes to this and will have 2 remove this 1 also have had 2 remove 4 songs so far --- so listen 2 them while still U can ---they can have copy writes without having the song download it from me claim it --make me remove it --then try to sell it 2 U

  • @rg3855 god, damn, get your spelling right and can you spell out your damn words.... how hard is it to write to or four.... hell im sorry for over reacting. gahh youtube... and this internet day and age
