Guys bed bugs are attracted to carbon dioxide, not dirt. So don't worry if your room is messy. Just ensure all cracks are sealed and you don't exhale into the bed =P unless you wanted to lure them out.

Robyn1757- freezing for 48 hours won't do it. these things are incredible. Heat is their weakness. I picked some up from a hotel recently and just finally got rid of them. Now I use a product called packtite on my luggage after every trip, kills them with heat. washing sheets alone won't work either they get in everthing.

All you have to do is wash your bed sheets once a week. That's it. If you don't wash your sheets for 6 months at a time, what you do you expect? Wash them in hot water. If you know you have bedbugs, wash the sheets, fold them and put them into ziploc bags. Freeze sheets for 48 hours. You may still have to call an exterminator if you've let it go for too long. They will hide in electrical sockets... etc. The trick is to get them early.

If you didn't know, a 357 Magnum revolver is more powerful than a 12 gauge shotgun.
