The worst example of Console noobs can be seen when playing on Operation Metro. The US Side cap A and B in quick succession and then rush off to C. A and C are then quickly recaptured by the RU Side and the US are jammed and butt-raped and B, and we lose.

I all ready knew this, been playing Battlefield for years. Keep making more, people need to know how to play and treat this game like a Battlefield game. I've played with people who played CoD and all they think about is getting kills, not working as a team and helping teammates.
Love your advice on pre-empting the enemy, anticipating what flags they're going to go for. The biggest challenge is judging how devious the enemy will be. It's almost easier to predict a smart opponent than a not-so-experienced one.
Having more players can make a difference, or not... Once my team had around 100 lives left and the enemy around 40... My team got too confident, so we lost
@SpartanRJ45 Overconfidence is a massive massive error to make. I have a video about this that I will have coming up in the near future. Just because a team has less players, and hasnt done anything for the first half of the game means nothing... In spawn camping situations where idiot defenders push far away from their mcoms, you reguarly can find your selfing going from first ---- last base in a very very short time.

And rly, my teammates are usually 1000x times worse than me so i have to continuesly cap flags.. I am really the one who gets MVP all the time, so that's no problemo. Sure you can win holding flags, but that isn't fun, i like going to the enemy, rather than that the enemy goes to me. If you know what i am saying...
I changed my kit from smaw to stinger then I spawn on the flag and the helicopter is hovering where you were @ 1:40 that taught me a lesson and I never used stinger again. They're useless on console at the moment anyway.
teheran highway is a unbalanved map, because the russians can go directly to alpha with their vehicles. the americans can´t go directly to charly... they have to move through the bravo area if they want to reach charly with a vehicle, or they have to flank infront of the russian spawn...
Great points in this video Luetin! The Veritas squads were using this strategy to great effect yesterday. Taking your time and slowly pushing up to the last objective with a line is particularly effective on maps with 3 capture points. I'd like to see a video on conquest assault. I still see teams getting mopped up on the closest objective.
Love the video. I wonder if it's possible to spread a few friends in an online party across several squads on the same team so that you can then communicate and have each person direct their squad to choose goals and reach specific objectives? Anyone ever tried that? Probably tough to work out but if you don't mind hanging out for a bit it may work...
Good video..couldn't agree more people just don't know how to play the game the right way..there just looking to have the most kills or highest score...I could care less about that..I want to WIN period!

This is one of the biggest problems i have with BF3 atm besides the voip not working, to many people don't utilize this strategy they just run around for the kills or cap a flag and then moving to the next and so on and so on/or as you say playing it as its Rush mode, instead of doing it they way you show in this video.
@SamboOC a game that people want to win at. for like the last 10 years ive heard the 'its a game' phrase so much. What ppl are trying to say is dont take things so seriously, but with any hobby people take to relax be it sport, gardening, crafting, modelling etc anything that you invest a significant amount of time in, there is fun in improving, learning and within that there is a serious element. So saying its just a game - to me is missing the point really.

There's 11 other people on your team, and whether you like it or not, there is not a specific code of conduct to follow, and this allows people to play how they want. Everyone paid the same price, so no one is entitled to try are teach other people how they SHOULD play, even if you are correct.
And like you said, One squad can make a difference, so surely you and your fellow squad members can play "correctly" and still make an impact.

@somebodywholikesFPS yup they sure do, what I said was they dont drop off extremely fast. They do drop off, but its not like in wow arathi basin where if you capped 5 bases the round would be over in about a minute. The point im making is that in most situations trying to control all the bases will overstretch your team, and most likely be counter productive and do more harm than good.
This approach basically applies to any three-flag conquest map! If you can at least flank alone, sooner or later you squad will die and spawn on you rather than the base (no-one likes spawning at the base). You can get them to help you whether they realise what's going on or not!
Yeah guys I didnt want to be condescending and try and do a guide to cover everything, because even though in the last 15 years ive played a mix of console and PC games on BF3 I play it on the PS3, so for me to try and do a video covering PC conquest Tactics would just be pretentious. However. I might possibly work with some of the guys at BFO to gather footage and a script, and then I might produce one for our PC friends, I think it would be great to cover it for everyone not just one aspect.
Thats the point. Rush works to a certain degree for people, who just want to literally rush forward, always looking in one direction. Because of that, I think Rush is much easier in public games, where they don't have much communication ongoing. Overall I prefer the classical Conquest Mode like it was played back in BF2. And I'm glad that you put 'Console' Conquest in your Title, because in my opinion there are certain differences with having 7 flags.
I play conquest like rush. I see what he means but if you can guess where they're going next then you can hold down flags and rush, which is more fun :D
AMAZING guide I've been trying to tell some of the people I play with to stop driving around with the tank capturing random flags all across the map and start defending and holding the flag advantage we have instead of going for more. now i can just show them this video. thanks and I hope more people watch your videos so that we can all have a better online experience

Make an Advanced tactics one for PC,I always cap the objectives no matter what,but with no actual tactic,I just go in and do whatever I can to cap it.
And lol,consoles only have 3 objectives?Well it makes sense if the player cap is 24,when PC has 64.
There are people who don't give a shit about the objective even on PC(I'm not even talking about campers,I'm talking about people who don't disarm a charge when playing Rush,even when they are 5 metres away from it!)
Great video, I hope a lot of people will see this. At first, I was a bit reserved, because you talked only about Tehran Highway, a map which is a "pipeline map", where all the flags, usually 3, are in line. I'm glad you brought Seine Crossing into this too, as it's a totally different map, with 4 flags and requires different strategies. Although, your general tips will do in both.
By the way a patch is coming for the ps3 voip issues soon,this has been said by dice,,,,go to facebook and read it on the battlefield page..............also another great vid and nice to see someone trying to help others fo nothing.....good work
the whole idea is team play,the platoon i play with dominate because we communicate,also it is important to change your voip to team and not squad,therefore you can communicate with the other squads,this is a good overview video however getting a full team of 12 to read from the same page is difficult,I sometimes die and then see a medic not in my squad just run past...........strange really as he could have point for the revive and thanks aswell
@mattj933 This is certainly true however with only 12 players a side, one squad CAN make a big difference. Of course every game is different. But in my experience many many games can be turned around by just your squad. Often me and my guys join a game thats not progressing, and just with a little teamwork, you can fill in the gaps that are left open by the rest of your team. You dont need the whole team to follow this to make a difference, just you and your squad play for the win - LT

every conquest match on tehran highway there is the IFV's rushing up to the furthest away flag it is so anoying when they get through and catch you off guard
@jarrod6935 yes this happens so so often, Mining the road from the RU/US past A is really important, or at the least have some form of anti-armour team on that side of the map

@ebalosus2 actualy one man can win metro. I managed to capture cofe point few times. everybody is just to confident with the concentrated battle that they might miss one guy from different team. all you need is smoke the stairs. (or just try luck without smoke) and be in squad so fallen mates can spawn on you. also taking only silenced weapon and radio beacon is not bad idea neither. good luck on trying almost impossible.
More people should be aware of this, it makes the game so much better. I have played Operation Metro several times and my team had A and B several times and were too greedy to go for C and the oposing team pushed back because we were all scattered in the map and ended up losing it. When I play I always try to make my team (and squad) defend B(in OP. Metro at least) at all costs and not go to C, so the enemy run out of tickets soon enough.
This advice is great but on consoles it will never work because you can only talk with up to three people at at time by default. You can set VoIP to team but not most people know that I imagine. Plus they still haven't fixed some major problems with VoIP on PS3.
@bigred2989 It doesn't work on pc either, there's no VOIP in BF3 on pc! The only way would be if your whole team would know eachother and all bunch up in a Skype call or a teamspeak server!

I've played on and been on the receiving end of teams who use a sort of blitzkrieg strategy, sending all armor to the central bases, generally the harder ones to cap, and getting those. While this armor is acting as sort of a front line to keep enemies, at least, suppressed, only a couple guys on foot are required to capture the bases anywhere behind the front line

@K3nok1 But it still had a shit ton of explosions, and 264 players with no lag at all is still impressive no matter what the game looks like. Besides, Resistance had great graphics and could handle 60 players so graphics had nothing to do with it.
@InlayUK Because BF3 is a much bigger game and would run a billion times slower if you have 264 players. MAG has no destruction, extreme graphics, etc.

I cant remember how many times I've been on teams who play stupid like this just trying to cap points and then not holding them. The best conquest games are when you win with 1~2 tickets remaining.
@r1coshet lol. Pro tactics. If you watch videos of how 'pros' play the game dude it involves sitting in a corner firing an M320. Seriously though, there is no Magic tactic that makes you instantly score 20k per round and win every single game by 150 tickets. I will cover other tactical things in following videos, but the most important things are the simple things. Objective - Momentum - Flexibility and awareness
At 4:45 that's usually me who's sneaking past the massive battle and capturing the opposite point XD It's rare that I see anyone sneak around the sides, it's usually a rush straight to each base.
If people actually played like this the games would be so much fun but instead you have this call of duty attitude with some players just worried about getting kills and dont care about if they win or not. I would rather win than get kills myself.

@ 2:26- 2:27- Tickets do actually drop off faster if you have more bases then half the map, or more then that. The Process is called Bleeding.

I dislike that most Hardcore Players forget about the 'spotting' part.
Even though you can't mark a big red triangle above enemy heads it's a useful help for your team.

Make an Advanced tactics one for PC,I always cap the objectives no matter what,but with no actual tactic,I just go in and do whatever I can to cap it.
And lol,consoles only have 3 objectives?Well it makes sense if the player cap is 24,when PC has 64.
There are people who don't give a shit about the objective even on PC(I'm not even talking about campers,I'm talking about people who don't disarm a charge when playing Rush,even when they are 5 metres away from it!)

Great video, I hope a lot of people will see this. At first, I was a bit reserved, because you talked only about Tehran Highway, a map which is a "pipeline map", where all the flags, usually 3, are in line. I'm glad you brought Seine Crossing into this too, as it's a totally different map, with 4 flags and requires different strategies. Although, your general tips will do in both.
Next up, CQ assault? ;)

I wish they would give us console noobs more flags. I played CQ large on the PC with 24 players and it was perfectly playable.

the whole idea is team play,the platoon i play with dominate because we communicate,also it is important to change your voip to team and not squad,therefore you can communicate with the other squads,this is a good overview video however getting a full team of 12 to read from the same page is difficult,I sometimes die and then see a medic not in my squad just run past...........strange really as he could have point for the revive and thanks aswell

@mattj933 This is certainly true however with only 12 players a side, one squad CAN make a big difference. Of course every game is different. But in my experience many many games can be turned around by just your squad. Often me and my guys join a game thats not progressing, and just with a little teamwork, you can fill in the gaps that are left open by the rest of your team. You dont need the whole team to follow this to make a difference, just you and your squad play for the win - LT

@BattlefieldoTV One squad can make everything on 16 vs 16 or 24 vs 24... When i play with my boys we ALWAYS do that, then i mean ALWAYS..
2 Players can make a huge difference on high player count too... They just gotta be good.

every conquest match on tehran highway there is the IFV's rushing up to the furthest away flag it is so anoying when they get through and catch you off guard

@ebalosus2 actualy one man can win metro. I managed to capture cofe point few times. everybody is just to confident with the concentrated battle that they might miss one guy from different team. all you need is smoke the stairs. (or just try luck without smoke) and be in squad so fallen mates can spawn on you. also taking only silenced weapon and radio beacon is not bad idea neither. good luck on trying almost impossible.

More people should be aware of this, it makes the game so much better. I have played Operation Metro several times and my team had A and B several times and were too greedy to go for C and the oposing team pushed back because we were all scattered in the map and ended up losing it. When I play I always try to make my team (and squad) defend B(in OP. Metro at least) at all costs and not go to C, so the enemy run out of tickets soon enough.

This advice is great but on consoles it will never work because you can only talk with up to three people at at time by default. You can set VoIP to team but not most people know that I imagine. Plus they still haven't fixed some major problems with VoIP on PS3.

@bigred2989 It doesn't work on pc either, there's no VOIP in BF3 on pc! The only way would be if your whole team would know eachother and all bunch up in a Skype call or a teamspeak server!

@bigred2989 Yes, there is textchat, but it's a miracle if anyone reads it. Also it is in no way better of even remotely comparable to voip.

That is what it HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!!! Idiots camping B and the last point A, and some smart guy creeps to C, thus turning tide over and over again. Playing with tons of idiots everyday. Sigh. And another occasion you see Baserape if A is taken up. What a gameplay.

I've played on and been on the receiving end of teams who use a sort of blitzkrieg strategy, sending all armor to the central bases, generally the harder ones to cap, and getting those. While this armor is acting as sort of a front line to keep enemies, at least, suppressed, only a couple guys on foot are required to capture the bases anywhere behind the front line

Really can't understand why bf3 only gets 24 players on console. MAG had 264, at least the ps3 is capable.

@K3nok1 But it still had a shit ton of explosions, and 264 players with no lag at all is still impressive no matter what the game looks like. Besides, Resistance had great graphics and could handle 60 players so graphics had nothing to do with it.

@InlayUK Because BF3 is a much bigger game and would run a billion times slower if you have 264 players. MAG has no destruction, extreme graphics, etc.

I cant remember how many times I've been on teams who play stupid like this just trying to cap points and then not holding them. The best conquest games are when you win with 1~2 tickets remaining.

@r1coshet lol. Pro tactics. If you watch videos of how 'pros' play the game dude it involves sitting in a corner firing an M320. Seriously though, there is no Magic tactic that makes you instantly score 20k per round and win every single game by 150 tickets. I will cover other tactical things in following videos, but the most important things are the simple things. Objective - Momentum - Flexibility and awareness
