  • fair comment, I agree, the good camera I normally use and the wireless mic was at work. I wanted to make the video before taking it down to the car.

  • u can afford al that but not a good camera

  • i want to ask how to hook the main batt(ground)?

  • The fridge is about 40 W, (3.5-4 amp) when the compressor is on maximum so there is quite a bit in reserve both in the battery and the Solar cell.

Yep will bring it all down, BBQ sounds like a fine idea :>

  • @sridgway I have added some notes to a flickr picture which may assist

  • The 1.5 hrs is just the battery alone, the solar cell battery combination with good sunlight would power the fridge and charge the battery continuously.

  • @sridgway oh wow, so the fridge is only 100 or so Watt. That changes things. Great! Still pricey, but you've gone good gear. You could skimp on the battery and just replace it every year I guess. Hope you'll bring it down this weekend, we can crack a beer and a wine at the BBQ I'm planning.

  • Is that 1.5 days factoring in the solar panel power as well, or would you expect a little more? I guess if you froze ice, that would be storing some cold, to extend you cooling another 1/2 day or so. But you loose storage space. We freeze bottles of water, so we can drink from them when thawed, rather than use bags of ice, that just cause a mess.
