The crime rate must be very low in China. With so many citizens knowledgeable in the art of fighting, a street criminal can never be sure who he's up against.
@conkpit First off, if most people know martial arts then the criminals would know that also. The thugs of the triades in Hongkong for example all do a kungfu style because guns aren't allowed there. Further, most Chinese do not know martial arts. Most Asians don't know martial arts. How many westerners do you know that engage in classical music or fencing. The popularity & reputation of both is comparable to Asian martial arts.
@conkpit Asia appears different from other continents because most people only know those martial arts movies. But in Asia, most prople don't watch those. People tend to watch romantic comedies & talk shows. The Asians are more interested in badminton or table tennis or volleyball & so on. Not martial arts. A lot of people are dissappointed when seeing actual Asians.
@conkpit First off crime in China would only "appear" to be low simply because its such a police state. Take the book 1984 and apply it to a real nation, and you are left with china. Do some research on how oppressed the Chinese are. There are no human rights there. Thats not being over dramatic either. They love foreigners though, but the people of China are extremely oppressed.
@selfmadeboys88 If I may, the Chinese are not oppressed. Where did you receive your information from? Do you speak any Chinese language? Have you been to China? Do you know any Chinese? I haven't met a sinlge Chinese telling me that they are oppressed. Even those that left China either for working or studying abroad don't say that. And the government policies may not be perfect but they are comparable to other NEA/SEA/EU policies I have encountered.
@GaolisVideoLog Thats very naive to think that they are not oppressed lol
May i suggest that you do some research on the topic. Like i said they love foreigners. A country can have all the policies they want, but as we all know governments can be corrupt of course. Your defensive argument using "policies" is very weak. The Chinese government IS oppressive wither you like it or not. They are a metaphor for big brother. I understand if that doesn't bother you. Again please do research.
@GaolisVideoLog yea they are free to move but the government has to much influence on every aspect of their lives in my opninion and belief, for example: the chinese emperor can censor every website available in China
but its by far not as bad as in North Korea (there is a big difference between those two countries)
maybe i have to revise my opninion and say that they are mildly suppressed in camparision to North Korea
(sorry if my english isnt that good, it isnt my natal language)

@BlastOfPhurie I can't agree with your opinion. All Chinese I know don't think they are oppressed. They are actually free to move around the globe.
