Schubert composed his " Arpeggione Sonata " in November,1824. This strange instrument - a mix of violin and guitar - was short-lived and soon replaced by the cello.

Marvellous ! I was lucky to see him playing this and quite a few more works in Beauvais a few years ago. A living cello legend and fantastic musician.
