You are the bearded guy, if you choose not to create a new look that is. But the silver haired male elf is a romance interest as is a male mage, and female romantic interests are another elf or a pirate.

You can choose to play as a female in the game as well.

If you missed this I really don't think you get another chance. By clicking that heart you are officially in romance with Fenris. I think all other options are there just in case someone changes their mind about starting a romance. This pertains to a rivalry relationship. In the friendship one Fenris can come to you so if you have the relationship with him you can get your chance.

If you didn't click the second heart the first time Fenris is at your estate, and initiate the romance, Fenris will arrive to initiate the romance the next time you go back. That is the final chance for his romance.

@LittleMizzRandom I don't think you have to click on any hearts to have a romance with your companions. I played through without taking a single one for Merrill, and as soon as she became my Rival, she jumped my bones. O_o, It was very, very strange.

@LittleMizzRandom There is an alternate romance scene with him if you didn't already find out. I had it happen where he showed up at my house, like in this scene and left. There was a quest that i didn't do that involved him, and after it, I went back to my mansion and he was there, and i was able to romance him.

The only way I know is if your friendship with Fenris is high enough or becomes high enough, when you go back to the estate there will be another chance, just choose one of the first two options. I don't know if it works for rivalmances, but you could find out.
