The video is the proof that the courts need to have the child taken away or atleast for the mother to be supervised. A confrontation would likely have resulted in the mother taking out her embarrassment and anger on the child later. The person that recorded it did the smart thing.

I don't condone dragging the child. But in her defense maybe the kid just flat out didn't wanna leave the store. I was in a coffee shop with my 2 year old nephew and he was perfect until I needed to leave. He threw a holy tantrum. Here I was trying to get to work, 4 coffee in a tray in my hand...so I had to half pull and half drag him to the car kicking and screaming all the way.

Wood Shed? Kid seemed to enjoy the ride, apparently he refused to walk, his preference is evident, going with the flow. Wasn't kicking crying yelling or protesting. There are actually children out there that would run away somewhere [in the street] or whatever. I mean its not always the parents fault if their child is obediant or not. So some kids deserve to be put on leashes [not around their neck, the ones thats like a bookbag] becuase parents are trying to protect their child. but this woman dragging her child is wrong. This is not the way these things are supposed to be used. She should have just left him with a sitter instead of dragging him in public.

@shirley3377 This video did more for that kid than a confrontation would have. This video shows proof the mother is mistreating the child. The video is the proof that the courts need to have the child taken away or atleast for the mother to be supervised. A confrontation would likely have resulted in the mother taking out her embarrassment and anger on the child later. The person that recorded it did the smart thing.

I actually know these people. Notice there is no sound. In any version of this video that's ever been played. The child was laughing as he was being pulled. The kid was PLAYING! Get a grip people. Give me a break.. the kid is obviously bratty, chose not to get up off the floor and was more than likely warned that he would be dragged. The mother, although misguided, was probably trying to make a statement to her child.
When I was a kid, getting dragged around like that wouldn't have hurt, and if I was a little brat like that, I probably would have deserved it too. That kid probably deserves a lot worse than a little bit of rug burn.

i don't think they should be outlawed because they could prevent losing your child in a busy area/kidnappers/ or maybe your child likes to run off (i did that all the tim!) i've seen mothers drag their kid by the arm like they're trying to rip it out so it's not the leash that's the problem it's stupid parents...if i saw someone drag their dog on a leash like that i would call animal services...she's a stupid mother! if you put your child on a leash he should walk ahead of you...that's it!

I bet the kid did want to be dragged. I could picture myself wanting to be pulled when I was young. People this day in age are always worried about what everyone else is doing wrong. I don't have kids and I probably wont because it is to hard with all the crazy people quick to point fingers. I live 20 min from Rome GA. I know this woman. The kid was laughing. The reson no one in the store is doing anything is because it really was a game. How many cell phones have video cameras that don't pick up sound? If you saw this with sound and the kid was laughing would you react the same?
