@jovanify Understood- I guess at the time I wanted to show how much bad luck I have while trying to record. Trust me, it gets better as it goes on (once I start actually recording). Thanks for writing!
@jimfusco do you know of any good cheap recording software, and i have a microphone but i dont know how to turn down the sensitivity but , i dont know where to find the options
@filsommer Thanks! I hook it up to my Tascam 2488 24 track digital recorder. I use a standard XLR microphone cable. I think parts 2-4 should answer it a bit better.
if i want to make a cover recording my guitar direct to the pc....do I only play the guitar over the music, do i use backing tracks....i would like to have the original song but without the guitar parts so i can play the guitar parts myself...im confused what should I do?
@ClixProductions01 Well, now I'm working on a new studio, as I bought a new house. So, it's going to take some time. But, I still use the same essential items, though I plan on using a better set of microphones for the next album.
Sorry- I don't use Cubase. But, there are many forums online that can answer the question. In my computer recording days, I used to splice things together, too.
idk if the plyers thing was a joke or not, but i have a planet waves, tuner, ball remover, string winder, and string cutter, ALL IN ONE, it is the best guitar investment i have ever gotten
I got them on eBay from a place called Foam By Mail. They're not the greatest quality of acoustic panels, but it really does help cut down on the echoes. I got ceiling panels, as well. They help in my "vocal corner" of the room.
I hope you'll watch the completed music video for the song in this on "How I Record A Song, Part 4"- thanks for watching!!
You're cringing watching it, and I was cringing living it! I have now gotten one, though. This video just shows what happens when ambition takes over even though you're not totally prepared. Thanks for watching!
Wow, have long have you known me? ;-) Thank you so much for the comment- I'm planning on doing some other "How I Do It" videos in the future, That is, as soon as I recover from this disaster! Well, things usually turn out very good, as this song did, but getting there is always tough! Thanks again and keep in touch- I'd love to know about your progress!

@jay2rocks Sure- the Fast Fret conditions the wood on the fretboard and kinda lubricates the strings, which makes it easier to switch chords.
