The only connection to DMC is taht it's made by Capcom, and the only connection with DI is that it takes place in hell. But the gameplay is VERY different, mostly because SotD is a shooter, NOT a hack'n'slash game.

best thing about the game is the humor. It's a pain in the ass to aim, the reload time (esp for your light gun) sucks, and running sucks real bad because he only does it for so long until he slows down. The bosses are too much of a pain in the ass. The third reaper boss is painstakingly long. DS2, RE4, Lords of shadows were greeat games. This one is awkward and annoying. Big fan of the horror genre but this one's a let down
