see what happens when black pople can't be civilized? i blame obama 2010 oil spill. the democratic progressive response is as slow as molasses on a hot day in the gulf, you kenyan jackal's mother's birth certificate!
yeah... the largest national disaster.... and I am mad that President Bush didn't fly in with his tight blue suit and red underwear and stop the big hurricane when it was still a tropical storm.... the walls had not been built to proper specifications for decades.. and as of the governments response it is hard to be prepared for something that has never happened before, but of course it is always nice to have someone to blame....
Here's an idea! Let's build an ENTIRE CITY beneath sea level! Better yet, let's have it RIGHT ON THE COAST! All we have to do is block a little water from getting in... it's not like the ocean is a powerful force or anything.
Not sure if you know what your talking about. In any event. The first song, "The day the music died" is about the death of 3 great musicans in 1959. Buddy Holly, Richie Valance, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson.
I think the song is appropriate, as New Orleans was the city of music. Regardless of who was to blame. This is a great video/song combo.
seriously, i'd rather have had the feds ignore blanco and just take charge of the situation when it became obvious that help was needed. if such action could have helped the people who were trapped, it would have been worth breaking with protocol.
it would have been a win for the bushies too. anyone complaining about the feds overstepping their bounds in the face of such a disaster would have been waved off. sometimes ya gotta do the right thing & deal with the peanut gallery after the fact.
I think the great President Bush should have walled off the Chocolate City and let the blacks shoot each other out, it would be a reality TV show....Chocolate City Death hahahahahahahahahahaha.
If anyone is to blame, its the dummies that chose to stay there ignoring the warnings, and of course FEMA for lack of knowledge about what to do and how to distribute the needed goods where needed. I hate bush too but dont see where he's to blame.
Well, it's not that easy to up and leave. It costs a lot of money that a lot of those people didn't have. Plus, they've evacuated before and it turned out the hurricane was barely anything. So I don't think that it was their faults anymore, but I don't think it was then Bush's fault by default. FEMA really sucked, and most of the problems could have been fixed by them, but weren't.
Watch "When the Levees Broke" it just says it all.
i blame mother nature's but bush could have done more. they all new it was comeing sooner or later. and they new what was going to happen when it did. the levy broke bc of they where for a lavel 3 not as high as this one. they should have been working on themm, not takeing the money for the war...
Why does President, George Bush get the blame for everything, including acts of nature? If only Mr Bush would repair every infrastructure flaw throughout the United States, well then... liberals would find some other reason(s) to hate him. BTW, where is the money supposed to come from to fix everything? The cost would be 10,000 times the cost of the War on Terror. Pitch in and agree to have your income taxed at about 85 percent? Surely that would make a dent in all the ills of society....
The US military budget is fucking more then every other country in the world COMBINED. And we call Al Qaeda a dangerous terror organization...The US has not always been so aggressive, but at this point we are probably the most aggressive in the world. 700 billion dollars verse maybe a couple billion a year off that to fix our infrastructure. Maybe even a couple billion more to fix our fucking school system. 10 or 20/700 is not much. Fucking conservative selfish tunnel visioned idiot.
If the term "F&*^ing conservative tunnel visioned ideiot" was for me, young man, let me explain the facts of life to you. We conservative idiots use capital and our intelligence to build things. Genius pundits such as yourself seemingly have all the answers. I wonder why no one puts you in charge of anything? Simply stated, even you wouldn't allow you any significant authority to make any decisions over anything more complex than what Play Station game you should play next...
"The US military budget is fucking more then every other country in the world COMBINED..."
I defy you to prove that.
"...And we call Al Qaeda a dangerous terror organization."
Lest you forget, the US military has to have high-quality gear to carry out a "hold fire until fired upon" policy and try to minimize civvy casualties. Compare the costs of defensive-posture, precision combat gear and tactics to the cost of using a hijacked jet against an undefended, civilian target.
Bush needed permission from the governor to send in groups like FEMA in. So, it's not even Bushes fault for the delay. Also, Bush is not God...He could not use his magical powers to stop the levy from breaking.
Thanks... sure, I would have totally voted for Bush had I been old enough to vote 4 years ago. you may think I'm not from Louisiana, but I am! :D I know what it's life... and hasn't been like 3 years since the storm. I understand you're all going through a hard time, but what happened was that the levy broke... how can that be Bush's fault when he didn't build them and didn't know anything about. I know what I'm talking about, and you people are just hateful and angry. FYI : I love NOLA!
I find it rather funny how you are all placing blame on Bush when he is the President and he specifically asked Governor Kathleen Blanco if she needed help and she refused him. If you are going to place blame why don't you blame her! GOSH!
I'm sorry, but I was reading some the responses to this video & some are just RIDICULOUS! People, seriously... you try to blame mother nature's natural things on a man... I'm sorry, but they are not powerful to do any of that! You can't order a hurricane to hit a place, or an earthquake or any thing. As for Obama becoming President and all of it stopping man, you're dumb! This is the time of the beginning of the end! The World will soon end (maybe in a few 100 years, but still!) DEAL WITH IT!
If lighting strikes your house and catches it on fire, that's an act of nature. If the fire department stands by watching it burn, then says, "What? It's not our job to do anything about it. Nobody called!" then there's some blame to be assigned.
That's just what happened here. Bush didn't cause the storm, but he did let the levy go unmaintained, and he sat on his hands while (mostly poor, mostly black) people died.
Please tell me you don't believe the President is responsible for handling the maintenance of levies. As for response to the storm, protocol says the Feds don't step in until the Governor asks. If Bush had gone over Blanco's head, people would be whining about usurpation of power or some other crap.
Army Corp of Engineers is in fact responsible for the levees, and that is federal, but not directly Bush. And you are right about nobody stepping in until the governor asks.
You should read "Eco-Freaks" by Berlau. He points out that it was environmentalists who blocked the building of canals which might have protected New Orleans. Every time the state put forward a plan, the greenies blocked it with a lawsuit.
Katrina was no ones fault... your ignorant to blame it on Bush, no one was prepared for what happened... thats life, deal with it... many of you dont live in New Orleans and will never understand what we've been through... talk when you've endured what we have...
Soon Barack Obama will be President, and bad things (hurricanes, earthquakes, California fires, Suicide Bombers, missing blonde college kids in Aruba, America/Israel hating Muslims, cancer, tsunamis, etc...) will stop happenning. And even if any leftover Bush bad things happen (We'll blame Bush of course, cuz it'll all be his fault.), Obama will know how to handle and fix them with perfect precision.
obama is not goin to do any of those things he cant even make his mind about half the stuff he talks about watch some news and youll see he goes back and forth on all of the important issues and the problem with mhim stopping those is ITS MOTHER NATURE he cant stop it
It wasn't Bush's fault unless he has power to make a devastating storm. People should be prepared for the first 72 hours at least before help comes. The cops and gov. were pathetic in their reaction and response. They broke laws and should have been met with violent resistance when guns were being confiscated. Armed neighborhood watch and take care of your own could have resulted in better assistance to citizens. I wish those ignorant niggers the best though.
New Orleans was a disater waiting to happen. The good form this, is we can blame Bush.
To move on?
Sad but true, we gotta move. Some areas just were meant to have a modern civiliaztion there. Crap will happen. We need to move, or learn to control the earth... WHICH we can't, other than to screw it up in a neg. way.
oh and everybody blames bush, i don't support Bush, but it's not really his fault, it's terrible what happened to the people in New Orleans, but it's not like Katrina came out of no where, people knew it was coming
look, it was not the hurrican that did most of the damage, it was that dams broke... But Bush sent the army 4 days after the event to shoot the shop lifters which did not have any food left... The canadian guard showed up to help the people of new orleans before the army did. Bush and his adminstration just did not care for the people of new orleans, Rice was out buying prada shoes while the incident was occuring. The disaster should have never occured anyway, the dams where supposed to hold...
Nothing bad will ever, ever happen again after we get rid of that Damn Bush, Cheney, Halliburton, Rove, and that wicked, barren, turncoat Condoleezza Rice.
Once they are all gone, every disaster will always be handled with Swiss precision: without exception, ALWAYS. And displaced people (refugees) won't used their government checks to by Louis Vuitton bags and other stuff.
Damn Bush, he and his people (Cheney, Halliburton, Rove & Condolleezza) just don't care about helping people.
I just wanted to hear don mcclean, now I'm upset and pissed off. It is so unfortunated what happened there. As far as Bush, forget about him ever taking responsibility. It will never happen.
They guy who was preventing the suplies from getting to New Orleans was fired by George Bush himself. Just thought i would let you know. Seems the only media group who did a report on that was Fox. Yes I checked other internet sources and it is a true story. It was that guy's fault for the set back on help. Also, after the set back was overcome. They sent the supplies to the biggest groups of people 1st. Most of the victams got help in an "almost" timly fashion. I feel bad for those stuck.
George Bush never takes responsibility for his doing and non-doings. He always found someone he could fire or stepped back by himself to let look it like it was not his fault.
Many of my African American acquaintances feel that the pinpoint precision with which Katrina only took out THEIR part of the city and the witnesses who claim they saw Black
water personnel blowing up a main levee that was keeping the African American traditional neighborhood from being a complete loss feel that the New World Order was able to use HARP or other weather control technology to genocide them out of their homes. They think the New World Order owns Bush.
I think its stupid how everyone is blaming George W. Bush for everything bad that happens to america and the rest of the world. Our government is broken up into sections. Its called balance of power. is Bush a perfect president? Fuck no! But is it all his fault no...I don't know how you people are blaming katrina on bush. its not like he controls the weather. T_T
the reason everyone blames bush for this is because they sent no help to anyone in new orleans so everyone is pisst off at him because of that if u look at new orleans it is still damaged sure the city is not under water but most of the city is damaged no houses have been rebuilt in most of the city plus today is june 22 (the day i wrote this) most of the city has not recovered and people are not moving back to new orleans because 3 years later their either somewhere else in the country or dead.
That damn Bush. He caused Katrina in New Orleans (and Rita). Earthquakes in China and Pakistan. Fires in California,Tsunami in Thailand. Natalie Hollaway in Aruba, other missing kids. Dern Bush and Cheney, and evil Karl Rove: Without them, everything would be good. Aids, healed, no more racism, poverty, hunger or cancer, and no pedophiles. No suicide/homocide bombers; Muslims would love America and Israel. If we could just get rid of Bush, Cheney, Halliburton and Rove. Thank you for your video
The republican party had declared a war on the finances of the middle class and their voters blame it on Welfare that makes up 2/3rds of a percent of their paycheck instead of the upper class who decide 100% of their paycheck, usually earning millions everytime they sneeze or take a shit.
this is verry true GREEN LANd IS SINKING GET UR LAZY ASSES UP AND HELP WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT PLAYING WII GET UP AND HELP OR THE WILL BE ARE EARTH WAT U THINK ABOUT THAT YA SO GET MOVING :(
you do realize that global warming if it does exists has hapened before and would even without humans? if Al Gore showed just 50 years before what he does show, you would see, and the SOUTH pole melts every year, it has for a few million years now.
global warming has to be stopped everybody try to help put up flyers everbody help please please
we all have to be a big big family on the earth as brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers and cousins and jesus and god will be happy lets stop all the drama and crap come on lets help save everything together
If Katrina were to happen in UK, the Prime Minister will be fired and tried for incompetence of serving office.
If Katrina were to happen in the former Soviet Union, Putin would have been forced to resign.
If Katrina were to happen in some African country, the national guard would *NOT* block relief convoys.
It is ONLY in the US where corruption flourishes, defeat turns into victory, failure is turned into enormous success, and traitors are hailed as patriots.
hey dipshit, Mississippi, Texas, and Alabama was hit by Katrina also.
I know, i live in Mississippi, we didn't yell at the federal government. We fixed it our selfs. None of those people in New Orleans should complain they had a TWO week warning of Katrina and they didn't leave. Stupid dumbasses.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
It is their falt for living in a fish bowl. They know that this has happened in the past and that it will happen again. They had fair warning like the rest and they chose not to leave, not our falt.
First off, you and Charlie should go back to school since you clearly have no concept of the English language. Second, just because Katrina affected other areas doesn't mean they shouldn't be given the relief they deserve. NOLA was the hardest hit hands down. Do the research, I have. Third, people everywhere feel they're invincible so most don't vacate when told. Ask any Floridian, like myself, who sustained 3 hurricanes one right after the other. People like you are why our country is piteous.
some couldnt leave, but i admire the ones who walked, there are 3 roads out of new orleans, the bridge over the lake is the longest in the USA,its harder than it looks on TV, we used to have a second house there, now Texas
It is amazing how a song from thirty years ago can still touch our hearts and remind us of an event of our generation. Call me a wuss, but this song can make me cry.
the song doesnt exactly match the video because the song is about John Lennon, but hey he wouldve helped those people if he were still with us right? Rest in peace JL.
Actually, this song is about the day that the plane carrying Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper crashed, leaving all three dead. Lennon was murdered in 1980, however the Don Mclean album with song in it was released in 1971. Furthermore, was John Lennon not deported from the United States? Whether on not he would of helped them, he could not of helped them. I have typists cramp (does it exist?).
if you want my opinion Bush is basically the same as any other president. George Washington was called crazy at the time for chopping down cherry trees. once the new president gets elected everyone will forget about bush and start complaining about the new one before he/she even sits in the oval office. there will always be people who hate the government. however i respect your opinions. please respect mine!
George Washington never actualy chopped down a cherry tree lol thats just a myth just like the myth of a "good" government. No one should have power to tell other people whats right and wrong period it takes away free choice which is something the white church goers who run the country atm teach. free will fuck the power fight it
My opinion is that Bush is a dangerous leader. If you want backup... Iraq war just to get some oil.
But I think that its already irrealiteve. Doomsdays clock is at 11:55, because of North-Corea the risk of atomic war is much bigger than some american fool.
But happy easter, maby we'll get out of this crap with a fool's hope.
And oh infected777... its just healthy to make your opinion clear so plz shut up. Fighting with opinions can allow you gain real wisdom so its very acceptable. =)
No one uses good grammer or spelling and you are all ragging on each other for nothing! Everyone has their own beliefs if someone likes Bush and you don't too bad it is their choice.
Besides every single president in the history of the ocuntry has screwed up, maybe not as bad a Bush but, they all screwed up. So shut up!
The video is great and the comments should not be a crappy debate. Fighting with a keyboard is lame.
New Orleans is HERE, we're growing, getting stronger and hopefully we will get better. Don't count us out, we need help NOT negativity. We are all ppl there were just as many whites as blacks that lost EVERYTHING.But we have the chance to become much better. Pray for the city, be positive!

I have a hard time blaming the government for responding to only New Orleans. The Media make it sound like this was the only city destroyed. Major damage was also in Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Gulfport, and 8 other major cities in Mississippi. Not to mention the 100's of smaller towns and cities throughout Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. Only New Orleans got any media attention because the flooding went on for days and the black populations plight.
Pictures of a democrat welfare state. Want the rest of America to look like that? A black democrat mayor that should have been the leader of the city, let his people drown and blamed it on everyone else.
Actually to the good doctor who wrote 2 weeks ago, Canadian EMS units from as far away as B.C. were in New Orleans pretty quick. It explains all the Canadian flags in St. Bernard county that we saw on Fox News. Also there were ships of the Canadian navy on manoeuvers in the Gulf at the time that were ready to go in - they didn't cause it would have been diplomatically unfortunate to go in before the U.S. navy.
This was a deliberate act of our govt. F**KERS to rob these people of their homes & lives just to clear the area for "THEIR OWN agenda. The storm DID NOT cause this, the flooding came from the DAM being blown-the next day.. Let us Americans stand up for these people to regain their land back, out of Govt. hands. Please, we have got to help them. ENOUGH is ENOUGH

amen to that...i support bush...he got this country through 8 long years of terror and pain...wouldnt have chosen any other fate if kerry was our president for 8 years. African americans are people too though often suffering from racial and stereotypical remarks...theyre still people.
Bush isn't to blame for a levee system; the state government oversees it's maintenance and repair. The blame lies with the racist mayor of New Orleans who let dozens of city buses be destroyed rather than use them to evacuate the electorate. I guess it doesn't matter; the morons of this town re-elected him any way.
And there's a pic thrown in from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.
Well I Take It You're White, Nothing Against White People... But Seriuosly... You Have Some Serious Issues... You Really Need Help... Just What I Think Though
ok so i accidentally gave you a thumbs up, it was supposed to be down. i also take it ur white. by the way u spelled the n word wrong, niger is a river. if you spend time with people other then those who look like you, you might realize that ur wasting ur time hating everyone. by the way, ur ppl.oh and this country would be absolutley nothing without blacks, browns, asians etc. we built this country without a choice. i dont even know why im commenting on such ignorance god bless you
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
liten dumb ass im fine with asians but i hate black people they piss me off im sick of them thinking they rule this county there the reason y this usa isnt as it wat it use to be black pple can kiss my ass
I belive all men are created equal and deserve the same rigths and oppertuneties, regardless if they are white, black or purple, gay or straigth, belvie in God or Buddha. In the end we are all in the same boat. Please open your eyes, racism kills.
this makes me sad like so many ppl died now no one wants to live in new orleans just look at these ppl running for there life and 2 of my neighbors left to go help new orleans and everything is sinking and the littel kids crying becuase there sososssososososo scared about there lifes this killed so many ppl and the ppl getting on cars buildings and houses just look at these harmless ppl
I still live here. The Black population are staying in Atlanta and Houston until the city is completely rebuilt. The White populace, for the most part, has returned, despite a racist local government and a destroyed infrastructure. White people have a history of building civilizations from nothing. Blacks have a history of ruining them.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Fuck america fuck the talibans and fuck war but look people are putting there life on the line for there country and people die every day and this is a sad sad thing and you are lucky if you live in a nice safe community
im sure that your sad that all ur moose and bears died. America is a good country theres so many people dieing be cause we have a lot of them and most of it was natural disasters or terrorists. Its not like were some wasteland
i saw some bush bashing a few posts ago. This is my 2 cents. shut up. he has done a decent job for the hand he was dealt. only lincolin and fdr faced more chanllenges and washington's was about equal. he has done a lot better then anyone who has been complaining would do.
But come on, a "shut up", he stayed on vacation another couple days. Yo, another couple of days.
However, you are right to disregard comments like the above. That just doesn't help anything in fact ranting with hatred is just as counter productive. All you really gotta do is sit down, take a deep breath, and think, yep thats right, just think, for a minute tops.
My friends brother was in New Orleans for a porn convention and we warned him for a while to get out, but he was having too much fun. Many people were warned and made the same decision. After Katrina hit the city was fine, the hotel bar cleaned out its liquor cabinets and he escaped with free booze - unharmed. I felt stupid for warning him. Then the levees broke and all hell broke loose. Actions = consequences, stop whining. Nice job re-electing Ray Nagin. I'll never give a dime to New Orleans.
im sorry...i have nothing against canada...i think it's a great country too...i just hate those intolerant sobs that think there better than everyone else...we are all equals...as an american i say sorry Canada!!
these people were warned that a storm was coming and they stayed home. The Mayor refused to help his people. This is what happens when people depend on the Goverment to everything for them . They have NO CLUE on how to take care of themselfs and then blame the wrong man for what went wrong. get a life and learn to do for yourselfs.
BTW an intersting note - President Bush recieved a memorandum during his first few months of office back in early 2001 that cited three major disaster scenarios that the U.S. should prepare for, above all other security concerns - a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in NY, a major hurricane striking New Orleans, and a major earthquake striking San Francisco. Obviously the first two have already taken place during his years in office - it's only a matter of time before SF gets hit.
Considering that they have been working on that HARP weather control project and most of these folks were African American, I tend to be a bit suspicious about Katrina's origins.
Notice HOW they are rebuilding? ALL WHITE YUPPIE CONDOS for RICH PEOPLE ONLY to replace the low-income and affordable housing. When the Black people showed up at New Orleans City Hall to protest the loss of affordable housing, they turned the police loose on them!
Like hell they did. The videos are on youtube for the world to see. A large number of the protesters were white/professional protester types (Just as many of the police were black). And no one "let the police loose" on any of them. EVERY one of the videos I saw very clearly showed who the aggressors were. It was the protesters.
evacuate means just that - not sit and ride it out. Government can't do everything. I'd love to ask just how many people in NO every took the time to have a family plan for what to do during a hurricane to help themselves. How many times has there been a program talking about what would happen to that city when a storm like Katrina hit. EVERYONE dropped the ball, from the public to the government on this one.
They couldn't leave, you fucking idiot. They were poor! They could not afford a car, or gas money or a hotel room once they left the city and stayed somewhere else. These people were living paycheck to paycheck. The government should have provided a much better evacuation plan for those who could not evacuate themselves.

Fucking conservative selfish tunnel visioned idiot.
bbuysse15 3 years ago

The World will soon end (maybe in a few 100 years, but still!) DEAL WITH IT!
evilfrankie 3 years ago 2
If lighting strikes your house and catches it on fire, that's an act of nature. If the fire department stands by watching it burn, then says, "What? It's not our job to do anything about it. Nobody called!" then there's some blame to be assigned.
That's just what happened here. Bush didn't cause the storm, but he did let the levy go unmaintained, and he sat on his hands while (mostly poor, mostly black) people died.
gigglingwizard 3 years ago
Please tell me you don't believe the President is responsible for handling the maintenance of levies. As for response to the storm, protocol says the Feds don't step in until the Governor asks. If Bush had gone over Blanco's head, people would be whining about usurpation of power or some other crap.
aeonise 3 years ago
Army Corp of Engineers is in fact responsible for the levees, and that is federal, but not directly Bush. And you are right about nobody stepping in until the governor asks.

You should read "Eco-Freaks" by Berlau. He points out that it was environmentalists who blocked the building of canals which might have protected New Orleans. Every time the state put forward a plan, the greenies blocked it with a lawsuit.

Soon Barack Obama will be President, and bad things (hurricanes, earthquakes, California fires, Suicide Bombers, missing blonde college kids in Aruba, America/Israel hating Muslims, cancer, tsunamis, etc...) will stop happenning. And even if any leftover Bush bad things happen (We'll blame Bush of course, cuz it'll all be his fault.), Obama will know how to handle and fix them with perfect precision.

soccerguyluke13 3 years ago

WHICH we can't, other than to screw it up in a neg. way.

look, it was not the hurrican that did most of the damage, it was that dams broke...

They think the New World Order owns Bush.
joeocho88 3 years ago
I think its stupid how everyone is blaming George W. Bush for everything bad that happens to america and the rest of the world. Our government is broken up into sections. Its called balance of power. is Bush a perfect president? Fuck no! But is it all his fault no...I don't know how you people are blaming katrina on bush. its not like he controls the weather. T_T
BubbyBoucher 3 years ago
the reason everyone blames bush for this is because they sent no help to anyone in new orleans so everyone is pisst off at him because of that if u look at new orleans it is still damaged sure the city is not under water but most of the city is damaged no houses have been rebuilt in most of the city plus today is june 22 (the day i wrote this) most of the city has not recovered and people are not moving back to new orleans because 3 years later their either somewhere else in the country or dead.

It explains all the Canadian flags in St. Bernard county that we saw on Fox News. The blame lies with the racist mayor of New Orleans who let dozens of city buses be destroyed rather than use them to evacuate the electorate.

My City is DEAD! Not just the music!

Like hell they did. The videos are on youtube for the world to see. A large number of the protesters were white/professional protester types (Just as many of the police were black). And no one "let the police loose" on any of them. EVERY one of the videos I saw very clearly showed who the aggressors were. It was the protesters.
