real flow i believe is a plugin for 3dsmax and maya and 3dsmax, maya are easier to use than blender in my opinon

Actually it is not a plugin, but a separate program. You need a plugin to import data from realflow INTO maya however.

Did this using realflow, just took the glass model into that program and configured the emitter+particles. Then compiled it back in Maya for the render. However this is very old work
