  • I love how half of these comments are X-Files ones. Ah, I feel like I have friends I have never met ^^

  • I use to think Cher was for "old" people so I use to refuse to listen to her(cut me some slack, I was 7 yrs old ^_^;). I never listened to her until a year ago when I watched an X-File named "The Post-Modern Prometheus" where this song was played at the end. I found out it was Cher and thought:

"WHAT THE HELL HAVE I BEEN MISSING ALL THESE YEARS?"

  • X files ftw

  • love it!!

  • can't think of anything but the x files episode when i hear this hahahaha

  • its good but eli mattson and Marc Cohn is good

    and a little better

  • its good but eli mattson and Marc Cohn is good

  • Actually, it was Marc Cohn who did the original and Cher did a cover of it in 1995. Both songs are amazing imo :D

  • this is soooo not a girl!!!!!!!!!!haha maybe her and justin bieber should switch vioces!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bubblesL7 hahahah you're soooo right

  • Take Marc Cohn's original lyrics/vocals, and combine them with the musical arrangement from this.

That, I think, would be awesome.

  • i love this song<3'

  • Hmm I'm a little unsure about this. I'm not to high upon Cher singing this to begin with but the piano at the beginning seems a little high. If you listen to the music in Mar Cohn' version and this you'll see the difference. Sorry if I am nagging lol. This is my favourite song :)

  • I kind of think it's interesting how she is one of the very rare female singers that are a bass!

  • @MindyHackler Who else is a female bass besides Cher?

  • @MindyHackler

    Contralto.

  • yes the original is by a man

  • Cher has such a deep voice xxx

  • @bigmjfan1 hahahah u know i was thinking the same:DD

  • @bigmjfan1 shit so did I mate XD

  • @thebritish25 me too. XD

  • Marc Cohn does a cover of it, if not because Cher is also a man, That could be why.

  • @NickMurdaa wow you're hard, everybody will find that really funny, not like everybody's over that joke now.

  • @bigmjfan1 this song was sing originally by Marc Cohen, so you were right...

  • @bigmjfan1 I thought so too X-D

  • @bigmjfan1 There are 2 versions: 1. Cher, 2. Marc Cohn!

    Sorry 4 bad english!

  • @DasHausAnubis1997 3*. Marc Cohn wrote the song in 91'. Cher did a cover of it in 95' and Lonestar did a cover of it in 2003

  • @bigmjfan1he is, the man who wrote is marc cohn
