when people dont understand phish, i put on a video much like this one expecting them to be converted, and then they look at me like i'm crazy. does this happen to anyone else? i wish everyone could "get " phish cuz i really feel like phish (and well made/happy/organic music in general) have made me a happier person. i mean, how could it not?

@cureblake91 I know exactly what you mean. I am trying to turn on my friends in Japan to Phish and I get the same reaction. I'm used to it though. It was the same thing w/ the Dead. I found that people had to see them live to understand them. The best thing to do is to accept them and enjoy the music! (I didn't understand that and I ended turning lots of folks away from the Dead.)

@cureblake91 - my buddy on facebook last week posts something to the effect of: "I just heard this song [Ghost] and think I am going to stop resisting getting into Phish. this is really good and funky." Like the Dead (as someone else mentioned) its really about getting over the stigma, realizing that you're not going to like EVERY Phish song, and just finding and appreciating the ones you do like. they have so much good original stuff its unreal.

It takes more than 1 song. Some people will still dismiss one good song as a "one hit wonder". you need to persuade them with the more maintstream songs (Free, Character Zero, Bathtub Gin, etc...) once they "GET" Phish, they will start to appreciate the less commercially popular jams. Its just a matter of time before People like Phish imho. They appeal to every genre of rock.

In my humble opinion, the only thing wrong with this video is the camera not catching all of the lights. Unzoom, this is the gripe I have with the live release dvd's.

After many listens, I must say, despite it not being completly jammed out of this world, it is by far one of the most well played Ghost's heard. And thats despite them knowing their going into Spooky. Kudos to the whole 3 days!!
