you can achieve the same thing using the standard motorized turnouts from marklin, you just have to remove the mechanism and put it underneath the layout, still unrealistic but hell, its z scale, the most unrealistic ratio of them all.

thats cool looks like it would stay in place when a tran goes over but wouldnt it be easier to use a normal atlas brand or somthing like that?

which kind of motor drive are you using? I´m trying my way with salvaged DVD drives tray motors. Great action BTW.
