DONT BUY LIGHTS THEY ARE COMPLETE SHIT I HAD TO REWIRE THE WHOLE THINGS THE HALO Connectors CAUGHT ON FIRE DUE TO CHEAP ASS LIGHTS!!!!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!!!
To anyone who noticed an issue with these or the other lights made by the same factory... to get them to work correctly you just need to swap wires as follows... red in the truck harness to red pin in the lights black to black and purple to blue.... this will make everything funtion correctly.
FYI these are not wired correctly for the non sport rams and need to have two wires that have to be swapped to function correctly and reach full light output
@Specdtuninginfo the harness IS pinned out for one 9007 vehicle harness... thats why a lot of the other comments are from others with the exact same problem... the high and low beams are not supposed to both come on and the
now i have a sport edition ram so i have 2 bulbs on each lens, not like this 1 where there's 1 bulb, do you also carry them? i have 8k hids for dimm's right now but i'd also like to run some 8k hids for my brights
i would like to know why not one single video ive seen so far doesnt show how to wire the halo part of the halos. all any of them show is how to install them. any DA can reconnect wires but noone shows how to wire them.
i instaled halo lights in my 01 ram sport, and now my park lights stay on ALL THE TIME. i also put on new led tail lights. any idea what is causing this? thanks
Thanks for your support and help with my recent problems with the 2001 Dodge Diesel incompatibility problems with the projector ccfl leds headlights not working on passenger side correctly and my credit. Wish they worked they made the truck look pretty nice. Had to go back to new o.e.m's..Thanks Again Jack
I understand everything with the white and black wires. But one thing I don't get and it doesn't show is what do i connect the black box with the black and red wire too? It comes out from underneath the halos and has 4 white wires going into it. What do i do with it?
@cwish2014 the "dual lights" you are referring to is actually one thats your low beam, one that is your high beam.. you do not need to install HID's on projectors, thats only optional
If you notice at the end after installation the bumper is definitely lower on the side demonstrated, I followed instructions but the headlight assemby would not fit between bumper and fender opening. I had to loosen bumper and move it to get the clearance required. It might just be my truck but be prepared for the same issue.
I have a problem. My high light "light icon" stays on even though my lows are. An my lows barely even work. My highs are alright but they should be better and if I have any of my lights on, my fog lights wont turn on. I didn't install the headlights, the owner before me did so I have no clue why it does this.
@1997DodgeRam360 thats because these lights are incorrectly wired from the factory for our non sport trucks.... I have these as well and everyone on the dodge forum has had to rewire them so they work correctly and highs and lows work correctly... they are way brighter when this is done and only one or the other work at a time like they are supposed to with no "dim highbeam" indicator on in the cab. they have been wired wrong for years and have no intention of correcting it.
Ok i tried installing these head lights but got stuck. I have the exact same lights showed in this vid. Theres three different pairs of wires that come from the headlight one pair from the HALO/bulbs, one from the LED lights and one from the light strip next to it. How do i connect the wires to get them working properly?! Ive tried watching the wiring vid but didnt help it only shows two pairs being connected not three. Much needed help thanks.
@BarronStud The amount of the wires of lights are the same, whether you have two pairs or three pairs; however, make sure that the pairs of wires are together, with black bundled, and white bundled. So that you can tap them into the negative and positive wires. If this continues to fail, there is a good chance that your halo and led lights might be burned out, because they do not require much power to run them. Hope it helped, good luck.
@BarronStud No, only if you have the special edition model RAM. Because the special edition had the single beam and the projectors are dual beam. Which means that you might have to splice the wires to split the beam. Good luck.
I installed these lights yesterday, no directions came with it. it took close to 2 hours to finish. Now with them installed, i have no clue how to wiring the LEDs. plus, the stock rams come with two bulbs, one high beam and one low. The new one only has a spot for one bulb. and one for the blinker of course. please help.
@OreoEntertainment For the LEDs and Halo, you can check out our video we made that installation, you will find that it is quite simple. And regarding the one harness problem: The lights you have are for the standard model. Because you have the sports model, there are two light bulbs, where the standard model ram only has one. Please contact you seller for further information and options that you might have. Good luck.
I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 turbodiesel and have installed the same lights shown in the video. the problem I am having is that the high beam indicator is always on when the head lights are on. The only difference between the two modes is at one setting only the projectors are on at full brightness, in the other setting both bulbs in each unit are lit, but are dim by about 50%. Why is this so?
@Mremti95 The lights that you purchased has a wire harness that have the wires switched for the headlights. The hearness is black with three wires and two rubber boots for the light bulbs. Please contact who ever you purchased the lights from and let them know that you need the fixed harness with the power wires in the correct position. You can do it yourself, but can potentially damage the lights. Warranty is suggested.
@Mremti95 yup they are wired incorrectly... some people ignore it and some swap the two wires that need to be swapped to fix it. once fixed they are way brighter and work great.... I see about one person a moth on the dodgeforum who complains of this with these lights...
I have a 99 dodge ram turbo diesel and I bought the same projectors in this video from you guys but the original headlight has 2 connections for 2 light bulbs hi beam and low beam and the projector only comes with one connector what do I do with the second connector from the truck. I hope you can help me I been looking for this information for 1 week thanks..!!!!
okay maybe u will help me just got some Fog projector and the halos dont turn on or i just connected it wrong it had no instrucstion got them from EBAY i can connect the halos from the turning signal or What?
the halo will need to be splice your fog lights lighting or you can run the wires up to your driving lights. so that you can have your halo running at all times. If you do have questions on how to wire the halo, we do have a installation video on how to install Halo, it is very smiliar.
We do offer them in both regular halo and CCFL halo in black or chrome housing. Please check out k2motor(dot)com, then click lighting, projectors, dodge, caliber, and you will find the projector headlights. Thank you for your interest.
@Specdtuninginfo have you noticed the NOT fitting alignment pin in the back, to short, will not seat?
Have you also noticed the not fitting lightassembly due to acces to the alignment screws of the low beams, you have to cut out some sheetmetal in the headlight cup?
Have you noticed theat the driverside turnsignal socket has to be cut prior to install?
Hey, these lights are junk, when it comes to installation!
