Engine power setting was way down on the F7F...you also have to keep in mind that the previous 3 aircraft (Sept. Fury, Dago Red, & Voodoo) are all hopped up on serious steriods...hot rodded engines, airframe work, clipped wings, etc. The F7F's that have ever raced were always stock...the way they were in the 1940's. They actually compare well with the stock P-51's on the course.

nice vid! you can tell by the comparatively slower pass of the f7f that it is not made to fly fast at such low altitudes
