Hi, I am a new subbie and I just love it! You are quite talented Ms. Katelynylyn. Keep up the good work, I am your new understudy, my grandaughter is going to really love me, thanks to your techniques. (:
Cool. You can get a similar effect faster by braiding the stands or doing Ghana twists with the floss. You'd probably need more than a double piece though. The take down is a lot faster as well.
@qochemist - it was a bit time consuming to get them out, so it is good to put them in planning to leave them in for awhile. Than it is worth the effort :) I just snipped at some of the knots, and I would slide about 4 knots down the loc and pull the loc through. I did NOT untie each knot, that would have been even more of a pain. It was slow going, but it wasn't that bad.
We use to do this in high school and I couldn't remember how to do it. Thank you for posting this!! My girl and I did our's in PINK for Breast cancer awareness month<3 Thanks again
Yay!!!!!!!! you are back!!!!! I missed you. Your videos were my first video learning tools on my natural hair journey. I LOVE your videos. It is a joy to see your beautiful famiy. Beautiful hair styles and techniques. Bless you!
I had to cut my hair wrap off with an xacto knife. I was thinking, couldn't you add more string when you notice your line getting short by laying the extra length along the loc/braid then knotting over it for an inch or so to hold it in place?
I had my granddaughter Elle for a week I took her back home today, had I seen this tutorial while she was still here I would have taken her back with a real cute do using this method. I love your tutorials and you've got really cute little models keep up the good work : )
Great! it's really cool that you are actively engaged in your daughters' hair care...I am doing my best to keep my girls hair healthy and nice. Their hair looks nice and healthy. Great job...I'm sure this helps. I know the cornrow video really helped me out...thanks
i seen a caucasin coupon with an african child her hair was soo dry and matted to her hair i wanted sooo bad to tell them about your channel...but i didnt know how to say HEY YOU NEED TO LEARN how to do your daughters hair without coming off rude ...lol oh well

Very cute! I'm afraid if I did that to C's hair right now, it would be sticking straight out. I guess I'll wait until her hair is a little longer ;-)
