  • I had LASIK and my life is a shit!!! Full of floaters, double vision all day and fluctations. The worse thing is that glasses dont work anymore. FUCK!!!

  • I just had this done last Friday. They give you valium before the procedure so you could really care less about what they are doing! I was able to see (a bit blurry) immediately afterwards! It's awesome!!

  • Damn that took a long time. Forget the 28 seconds of laser, 7 minutes of messing about... ?

  • are your eyes open the whole time

  • damn man im freaking out i will do this in summer vacation :(((

  • thats annoying she touches ur eye ball in the center omg..

  • woah amazing

didn't your eyes get dry... doesn't that hurt?

  • How did you get this video?

  • no freeking WAY am I ever getting this surgery on a voluntary basis. I mean if its the difference between being blind and seeing yea, but I will stick with glasses thank you very much!

  • AHHHHH IM FREAKING OUT!!!!!!

  • did u see his eye smokin...holy shit man that was gnarly

  • I would love to do this while I'm high.

  • this place is better than lasik cause they do to much stuff on there eye which i dont like. maybe i should come here soo excited cause im turning 21 next year

  • Does it hurt?

  • Having mine done tomorrow. I can`t wait to see!

  • does it hurt :s

  • Cool video I figured something would be posted here. Having mine done Jan 5. I hear day 2 and 3 of recovery are murder.

  • what does the surgery do?

  • @shootingmen make your penis bigger

  • The surgery was quick and painless i had it done last thursday and im going back to have me bandage lenses removed today.

  • @5crawfad

Hi. I`m having mine done on 20. Any suggestions?

  • @elitestrikeee not really alot to it, but day 2-3 were the worst so be prepaired to not be able to do anything like watch tv or anything that requires light lol. you will be very light sensitive. besides those 2 days the procedure was great. i started with 20/200 vision and right now im at around 20/40 seems to slowly getting better and better.

  • @5crawfad

you were right. day 2 and 3 were terrible, but i`ve managed to get over them. now i`m in day 5, doing much better, i can work at the computer, my vision in the right eye is almost perfect, while my left eye is recovering a little bit slower. but definately i can see better than before the surgery. waiting to take my treatment lenses out on 28. rock on!

  • what if you want to sneeze during the procedure hahaha :D

  • If you are looking for unbiased information on Lasik visit the Facebook group LasikStories...you can find videos, articles and real life patient stories.

  • I want to be in the air force as a pilot however you need 20/20 vision and i have a -8.50 will this work if i get it im not sure can someone answer my questions about this type of stuff i have no idea. I heard lasik doesnt wont work for some reason..

  • @Iamadustybender I haven't done it yet since Im not old enough but my mother says it doesn't hurt at all and so other people I know. My mother needs to wear glasses again but wth much less ( I dont know how you say this in english because Im mexican haha but its the thingy that well... helps you see among the glasses ) :D

  • @Iamadustybender I wouldn't count on it, its preferred to recruit pilots/enlisted aircrew with already perfect vision. Tons of people have good vision already and apply for the program (max uncorrected vision is like -4 something i believe), and have pilots license's already). People ALREADY in the career fields can look at getting it done, but even then it seemed like it was discouraged. With that vision, I don't think its gonna happen :(

  • @Iamadustybender you should probably pose that question to a surgeon, rather than youtube - more likely to get a medically sound answer...

  • Does anyone know if this fixes ghosting?

  • It looks like a electric toothbrush.. I'll pass!

  • @snaps81625 hahaha it sure does :D maybe it is?

  • how do you not blink?

  • They numb it with a drop @msfashionlover

  • @msfashionlover

There is a clamp they use to hold open your eye. and you just look at a orange light. looks way worse than it is...

  • omg my eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeees

  • i have an astigmatism in my left eye of .65 from what the doctors at meps say, my waiver failed to go threw and im looking at getting this surgy in hope i will be-able to get in after its done.

  • So I'm needing to know if this solves all complications because I have astigmatism, near sightedness, and ghosting around all outlines, at any time of the day.

  • @xSPiiTxFiiREx It fixed my astigmatism and nearsightedness. I'm not really familiar with ghosting. Sorry.

  • wow it takes so long time to fix one eye!

  • how can the person keep have the eye open?

  • lol the thing on the eye! ahhhh! lol

  • is it painful?

and how come you dont have to blink?

  • Does laser eye surgery work on a lazy eye ? And how much would it cost for a good laser eye surgery not a cheap one ? Please someone answer back

  • @psyk310 laser eye surgery won't make your lazy eye see any better than glasses would. the eye is lazy because the brain has not developed to see 20/20 out of it.

  • What happens if you move your eye during the laser operation?

  • @WindowsAndMacintosh I had PRK done a few weeks ago. The excimer laser machines they use to do the procedure have very precise camera guidance that tracks your eye movement at 4000 or more times per second. If your eye moves at all, the laser immediately stop the procedure.

It is very painless but a very strange experience.

  • wtf u get any painkillers or sth?

  • What do they do to ur eye before shooting it, looks like it's bein polished

  • @bulletarmory instead of cutting a "Flap" like in Lasik, before using the laser, they "sand or buff" the thin layer protecting your eye. They say the healing time takes longer, and it is more painful, but there are less long term complications. At least that's what I've been told. I get mine done in about a week, free since I'm military. That's why I'm checking out these vids, because I'm nervous as hell. And I've heard so many stories about Lasik gone wrong, I'm making sure PRK is safe.

  • @itstony45 I'm joining the military too and after MEPS, they told me I wasn't eligible because my eyes were bad. I'm planning to get PRK surgery too but I really don't want to pay so much for it. How did you get the military to pay for yours?

  • @azumanga if your eyes are too bad and you pay for the surgery yourself, there will be a required wait time to heal before you can enlist. i beleive it is 6 months but it may take up to a year. the military will pay for anyone to get the surgery who is already in, but because of such a high volume of personel who are requesting it they prioritize based on MOS, and Deployment timelines. If you haven't enlisted yet, they won't pay for it. (This post is too long so there will be a second post)

  • @azumanga however if you talk to your recruiter you may be able to get a waiver and get the surgery sometime after your BCT and AIT. This isn't very likely, but it would be the only way to get the surgery without paying for it yourself. They will only grant a waiver if it's determined you can do your job with your current vision. This means you would still have to qualify with an M4. And if your trying to get a job where vision is important, the odds aren't to good.

  • Comment removed

  • it was in 2005 because the date format is yy/mm/dd

  • @khanspide He was just joking about the date Lol

  • I also have another question: How much is usually the estimated price for having PRK done?

  • Lmao @ all of the humorless jackasses who don't understand the 1927 comment is a joke.

Also, had PRK done 3 months ago. 20/20 in both eyes, couldn't be happier :D

  • it looks like predator at the biginiing

  • Amazing..some of the other processes look a little different, but this is what I remember from 4 days ago. Painless and quick..Until 4 hours later. Ask for drops to help with the pain cause they worked wonders the next morning.

Mine may have been faster cause they were "tweaking" since the lens inserted during cataract surgery was not strong enough..

  • 3:31 CALL OF DUTY lmaooo

  • How much is usually the cost of getting PRK for both eyes? and also would a 17 year old be able to get PRK ? I'll be looking forward for a reply. Thanks!

  • @FliPf13

Almost all opthamologists agree that you should be at least 18 before having PRK done

  • i wish ill be drunk if this happenes *gulp*

um they used a make up remover tool?

    the pupil got bigger

it was sort of like lungs getting bigger and smaller

to tell u the truth its funny that they're sort of shooting ur eye

  • @peaceloveandsf415 How was it?

  • Do they put you to sleep

  • @mrpopular133 ...Are you an idiot... she's blinking and the doctors are talking to her. Try thinking.

  • @AznBanditJohn It's a guy doing the procedure by the way.

  • what would happen if you were to blink.

  • nice....video

  • Does it work for lazy eye?

  • Its December 27, 2005

  • well i use glasses and im good becuzz i dont have to wear them every singel time :)

  • I still can't believe i did thaaaat! :D

  • @frhbianuni haha same lol :-P

  • This will make your vision better? cuz i cant see far away and i want to do that i dont want to wear glasses.

  • Is there a difference between laser and lasik surgery?

  • @USMCmcknight Yes, with PRK and Lasik if you mean, If you are in the military, then get PRK. The most notable difference is that with PRK, your outer lens is bound back to your eye (or something) while with Lasik, it heals over a long period of time 6-12 months in which the lens' bound to your eye can be broken and it will fall out and your won't be able to see clear.

Also, PRK there is a rest period of 10 or so days where you sleep but with LASIK the result are instant.

  • @USMCmcknight

PRK and lasik are different procedures, but both are done with the laser. The laser is just a tool for the procedure.

  • This procedure is probably the fastest most pain free surgery there is. The payoff far outweighs the minor discomfort.

  • I am getting this done, I think I should not have watched the video, looks like scary stuff, at least it's over nice and quick...

  • When the laser is on you won't feel anything or see anything, but you will smell your eyeball burning, lol, fuck that thing is loud, looks like a rave party.

  • Where can I get one of those eye brushes?

  • how does he not blink

  • @MrBdawg99 See the metal on his lids? Ever seen A Clockwork Orange? Yeah, that's how.

  • @MrBdawg99

Your eyes are kept open like in A Clockwork Orange

  • 1927? what are u kidding me?

  • @Webster109 It's Dec 27 2005

  • Wow not sure why my prk procedure was so much more different than yours. They didnt even put the contacts until after i got off the table. I dont remember the laser beong that loud either ha..the first day after the surgery was HELL.

  • WTF a contact lense...they r suppose 2 remove the flap in his eyeball.

  • @SamKino1 PRK doesn't use a flap. The contact is for protection after the surgery (not for correction). It's removed about five days later.

  • @someToast Oh ok I c...I thought this was LASIK eye surgery.

  • i had my PRK done 2 days ago. It only took about 8 minutes total. I haven't felt any discomfort yet (I have no idea why the doc prescribed Vicoden it really wasn't necessairy). The only bad part so far is when I go to put my eye drops in and my cat tries to bat the dropper out of my hand.

  • its december 27 2005 duhhhhhh :)

  • Hey guys. There's a vid on youtube from LasikEyes that has a surgeon removing the flap, cutting it off. Looks a lot like PRK, but claims its Lasik gone wrong. Which procedure is on his video? Confused! just curious, thanks! btw I'm a successful Lasik patient....

  • 11580p....1080p was the highest I had known so far..

  • Canada

  • I had this done 4 days ago on my left eye by Dr. Boothe in Plano, Texas. He's done the Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Lance Armstrong, etc. He would only do one eye at a time because of the downtime in recovery of this procedure.

My procedure I swear did all of this within a minute if not less. Yes, you also smell that burning sensation which smells like burnt hair.

Still, I can tell the effect of the surgery is going to be great, that membrane layer needs to grow back.

  • they even put ice on your eye. How would that feel :S

  • your doing ok marck, are you? NO YOU RIPPED OUT MY RETNA! oh..... kthnxbai.

  • @204ironman The retina is in the back of the eye you idiot! Haha, just joking... but it really is inside at the back!

  • @robs104 i believe ya

  • Why the hell am I watching eye surgery?

  • The pupil looks like it's breathing! o.O

  • I'm no surgeon but to me it looks like for the first minute he cleaning his eye with an electric toothbrush.

  • My dads getting this done in about 4 days.... o.O

  • I had PRK in 1996: I had -9.5 (left eye) and a year after (the whole process of eye recovery is arround a year) it finally stopped at -4.5 Which was exactly what the doctors promised me. It wasn't painful at all, lasted a minute and 3 days later I was back to school (I was 18 at that time). So for the past 14 years my vision stayed almost the same and even better: -3.5 after 2 years and up until now :)

I'm glad I made it! :) But it's not an easy decision - think carefully what is best for you:)

  • Doesn't look too bad. I'll probably get one.

  • god damnit STOP POKING THAT POOR EYE!!!

  • My eyes are watering just watching this. Am scare of this

  • Don't worry guys that was intentional stupidity. Yes US dates are odd with month then day then year, because a month is longer than a day but goes before it, but it makes more sense in a filing system if you put the year first, which they don't in the US they write 09.23.07 or something and I think "the 23rd month?" hmmmmmm.

  • And what happens if your move your eye during the laser application?

  • Not bad for 5th December 1927. Imagine what they can do today.

  • @eXPerienceyeah 2005 lol

  • @eXPerienceyeah Lol, I think it's outside America, it probably means December 27, 2005, because I doubt a doctor serious enough to do eye surgery would put the wrong date!

  • @eXPerienceyeah

LOL IT WAS DECEMBER 27 2005!

    NOT 1927 lol lol lol

  • @eXPerienceyeah think its the 2005, december the 27th

  • @eXPerienceyeah December 27 2005

  • @eXPerienceyeah

That is the standard date format in most other countries. Wow....

  • @eXPerienceyeah wajajajajajajajajaja!! that's true... lasik: the future in the past !!!

  • @eXPerienceyeah I think it's December 27th, 2005, ding dong.

  • @eXPerienceyeah no i think its 05, december 27, and by that i mean December 27 of 2005 lol

  • @eXPerienceyeah It's December 27, 2005 idiot....

  • @TheVaccumCleaners He's joking around -_-

  • @secondlifeundergroun Me too lol!

  • @eXPerienceyeah they didnt even have colour tv back then,

  • @eXPerienceyeah Actually it's 12/27/05

  • @eXPerienceyeah omg.. computer date :P 2005 December 27 :P

  • @eXPerienceyeah umm... it's december 27th 2005...... lol

  • @eXPerienceyeah lol u mean 27th of December 2005 XD

  • @eXPerienceyeah

hello, its in dec 5th of 2005

  • @eXPerienceyeah its December 27th 2005

  • @manhanz123 you are fucking dumb thats the date when the owner uploaded this video to youtube

  • @eXPerienceyeah Your reading it wrong, its December 27, 2005

  • @eXPerienceyeah wow u tard 1927 it said 2005 dec 27 they didnt even have any tv in 1927 so dumb

  • @BLACKMANISBACKful At least learn to spell properly before calling someone "dumb". Its a joke, get over it.

  • @eXPerienceyeah WHAT THE FUCK DUDE THEY DIDN'T HAVE CAMERAS IN 1927

  • I had PRK done yesterday and feel no pain at all, just discomfort from the contact lens that was inserted after the procedure, unfortunately the lens gets dry. There is some relief after using the lubricating drops. I been through far worse with allergies than now.

I had expected to experience light sensitivity but thankfully have experienced none, It is nothing compared to the sensitivity felt after getting some drops for certain eye tests in which you don't want to open your eyes at all..

  • @surgite111 hey how are your eyes doing now after the surgery? I would really like to know your progress :)

  • My father got this prOcedure a few years ago exept the one where they pull back the flap and he got the specific one where you can get one eye close and one eye far for seeing ang the only problem with it is that with age the eye sight deterates like it would anyway he has to have it done again but the upside is that they do it for 100% free ignor all these faggot trollers this procedure was the best choice he made for himself if you have bad eyes get this done its worth the cost and pain

  • What happens if it fails?

  • @Breakinright..you clearly have never had this procedure of know what your talking about. They don't use eyedrops to dissolve your eye tissue. They use a medical instrument to remove the epithelium then expose the cornea to the laser. That is for PRK. LASIK uses an instrument to create a flap and it is folded back then exposed to the laser. THEY BOTH Have the desired outcome but PRK does have more post op pain and a longer recovery time. Small price to pay for not having to worry about your cor

  • 3:35 ... is his eye Smoking???!!!

  • @themodernhero it is yes :o

  • 1) Hold your breath.

    2) Copy all of these steps.

    3) Go to two other video.

    4) Paste it in the comments.

If you can do all of this without breathing you're a good pot smoker

  • @dexdervinzippo i laughed so i guess i failed ^.^

  • Fuck that I'm keeping my glasses!!

  • @Jigsawkiller1000

    me to xddd

  • @Jigsawkiller1000 LOL.. they put numbing drops in your eyes so you can't feel any pain. I'd much rather do that the get a cavity filled, a root canal, or a tooth pulled..LOL

  • @Jigsawkiller1000 with cTEN it goes very fast

  • @Jigsawkiller1000 keeping your eyes open for 7 min gonna hurt alot.

  • That' dosnt look like surgery with sound, its like ur just dish washing ur eye :/

  • ugh! Seeing the sponge and other tools touching your eye just gives me the willies.

I'm really interested in this because wearing glasses at work is just annoying with respirator, hearing protection fire mask etc. all interfering and snagging on them.

  • @EJL2004 i took two years of researching both lasik and prk and talked to different doctors in Europe and America and after everything i know about it now i will never ever even think about it for a second ...

If you are only doing it because it is annoying to wear glasses go with long term lenses .... i looooove it ... you change them every once in a while but other than even you can forget you ever had glasses :)

  • @radinamp what are the reasons of you not ever wanting the laser op?

  • @gerwazjana there are many side effects - dry eye, hallos, glares, shadows at night, double vision. I am a good candidate, but I have relatively thin cornea, so I took my time. You will not believe some of the stupid explanations I heard about those side effects, the only person that explained them to me was one of the people who was on the approval team. If you think about it the percentage is not that small ... and what if you are part of that small percentage, because someone has to be ...

  • @gerwazjana But what really changed my decision was the percentage of people developing glaucoma (legal blindness) years down the road... I am 22 now and I refuse to take the chance to be blind when I am 40

I personally cannot gamble like that with my eyes, they are precision to me, even though I have a poor vision. I use the long term ones and I change them every month so I am happy :) no glasses, no stupid contacts every morning, and no worries about side effects :)

  • i cant even put drops on my eyes, this almost made my stomach up side down...

I want some laser and boom perfect eye... Dont put the drill on me :S fuck. I just got my first glasses after 2-3 years of having myopia. :( made me sad, ill go to sleep and forget it...

  • How did I go from watching videos of peoples gameboy collections to watching this?

    Kinda creepy...

  • Im thinking about getting this when m older

  • Clearly this happened in Canada.

  • @TheMedicMac must have went over well

  • I got my LASIK 2 weeks ago. It's great so far. Like by next day I was able to see pretty much fine, but still having halos at night times. It needs couple months to heal that. The dry eyes are not bad for me, by now I only feel my eyes dry when I wake up in the morning.

  • I WILL NEVER have an eye surgery.

  • this doctor does too much wiping wtf, i would tell him shit if i was his patient. probably a old ass motherfucker doing the surgery.

  • @shanebrandall You sound like the kind of internet surgeon that I'd want to around my eyes. /not really

  • Just info for everyone out there, this type of surgery doesn't work for everybody.

  • I had this done in 04 and it's been great!

  • I just did that 2 days ago!! It's just amazing!! You don't feel anything they almost don't touch you eyes.. and it's so fast!! after 10 minutes it's over!! the recover is like when u forget and sleep with the contact lenses nd when u wake up u see all blured,,, feeling sand in your eyes!!!... but its ok when u know that after few days you'll be free from glasses or even lenses!!! I'm glad!!! @Eye Clinic - São Paulo - Brazil
