The Hamlet advert is a spoof of flat horse racing not National Hunt racing. It reminds me of a recent incident one Saturday at Kempton when one of the horses got stuck at the stalls. Ever Ready did sponsor the Derby throughout the 1980s up until 1994.
I'd love to see the Noodle-Doodle-Doo advert from 1985, again, some time before I die. If it's anywhere amongs these ad breaks on Youtube, could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks.
If they're actually taken from the Derby coverage itself, they'd be from Wednesday 5th June 1985 (the National of course has never been on ITV or C4). And I'm pretty sure that in that case Ever Ready would have been advertising during coverage of an event they sponsored, which I think the IBA allowed by then (although they'd only just changed their rules).

That Minstrels must have got confusing with the M&M ad: " The milk chocolate melts in your mouth, not in your hand".

Apologies for the double duplication - my mistake.

These ads were taken from the 1985 Darby not the Grand National. I agree Mansell driving a Montego juat doesn't look right lol.

Given the first ad, I wonder if these went out at the time of the 1985 Grand National.
I vaguely remember Kiri, don't think it lasted long. Would Nigel Mansell really have driven a Montego in reality?
That Minstrels ad looks very dated for 1985.

It certainly does. I suspect it was made in the late 70s / early 80s and had somehow hung around.
