she was so beautiful it makes you wonder what was god thinking when he decided to call her up to heavan & leave the scumbag that hurt her so here on earth? condolences to the family R.I.P DENISE
I just saw this story on 2020..I know I am late, but I started researching this. I am so sorry for the family's loss and I can only imagine how hard it must be...what a beautiful family..I give my condolences to the family....Rest In Peace Denise...you are truly missed..
1 day til the penalty phase. the defense doesn't want her husband to be able to refer to her as mommy or being an angel. what a sick society. victim impact statements should include whatever they want to try and persuade the jury to recommend death. he brutally murdered her, he deserves the same
I just heard/watched this story for the first time.
I am so desensitized to our violent society that it just rolls off of me when I hear it -until - I heard this story. What a very sad gutwrenching story.
Whether the dispatch operators pulled the trigger or not they are responsible. It's called accessory after the fact. Right?
The female witness, who saw Denise banging on the window of the car, screaming....she did go after the car, but lost him. She phoned 911. The problem was, the cops never got that info. I would do the same myself, follow him.....but, how far do you follow him? you follow him out into the country somewhere, you may end up with 2 dead people. The guy had a gun, he could have shot at the witness' car. Follow him to get the license number & make of car....after that, I would let the cops handle it.
she testified she could hear her screaming even with the windows up when she was on the phone with 911, AND THEN sais "should I follow the car?".....when the dispatcher suggested to try and get up to the car if she could so she could get the license plate, the woman said "oh, I already turned.....should I turn around"? At redlights I would be out of my car screaming to every man about wheat I'm seeing, so I could get as many people possible to follow him. How does this woman live with herself?
What surprises me is how the last witness didn´t go after King after clearly hearly Lee´s screams and watching her bang with her hand on King´s car´s window shield???
the fact that two different counties couldn't get there stuff together long enough to save a persons life... really sad ..i hope that denise gets the justice she deserves from all aspects of this tragic event as for king i hope hes haunted even as he burns in hell no matter how long it takes him to get there ...Denise
I recalled the first time I saw her story, and I saw it again this past Sunday, and I WEPT. I don't cry easily. But seeing pix and vids of her, you could SEE what a sweet girl she was, and how they had a great relationship together. My HEART BREAKS to think that someone would take her from this earth, and others who COULD HAVE HELPED HER, failed. I DO NOT understand HOW those 911 people who failed on that day, are still at work right now!!! Why is it they weren't fired, or even charged?
Beautiful...beautiful young woman, beautiful young couple, beautiful kids & beautiful video. How sad the situation that drove the making of the video. My thoughts & prayers to her entire family, especially with the trial coming up.
Hi Noah's grandma and Nathan's mom! It was an honor to put this video together for Denise and her family. You've answered a few of my posts on the foundation website. My name on there is "Conner's Mommy". I want to do so much more to help in any way I can. Please let me know if any of you need anything,...I truly mean that! I'm only about an hour and 20 minutes away from N. Port. Take care and God bless! :)
I heard Nathan speak about this tragedy for the first time on Dr Phil last Friday. It really touched my heart and I am doing everything I can to help their family! I have been in concact with his mom recently too
yes, i also hope he wins this lawsuit so that these dispatcher start realizing lives r on the line, our tax dollars arent paying for them to just sit there... the plantation police incident was really bad also a woman was gunned down right at the police station after she was on the line with them for like 10 minutes!! its ridiculous RIP Denise Amber Lee T_T

Another FAILURE of law enforcement in America.
If the daughter of a police sergeant cannot be saved, in spite of numerous eye-witness 911 calls, then what hope does any of us have??
It is time for police agencies across the US to be overhauled, and held ACCOUNTABLE.
