you should buy an akai apc or a launchpad. It will make everything much easier and it will also enhance your live show because of the lights and stuff... It would add some more action I think. All in all you make good music, I have downloaded those tracks from your site and looking forward to listening to them.
Ableton will save your Midirouting of controls (blue background) automatically with song. But if you change some configs on your Midikeyboard (e.g. controller sending) you have to save it there...on your keyboard. Hope that helps.
that clip firing in ableton is great and midimapping is easy. Just try to build logical "groups", otherwise you can get lost without visual feedback on the controller... enjoy making music!
Thanks :-)) That´s what the video was thougth for.
Hm..., a "synth" contains a soundengine. You can do these controlls also on a synth (maybe with an additional midi-interface to route it to your computer), but if you planning to make your music and sounds with software, a USB-Controller, which is much cheaper, migth be the better choice.
Well, lately I was thinking of the Korg Nano series. They seem to work well and easy and are cheap! Bue whenever I see those Microkorg videos, with the vocoder, I don't want those Nano dwarfs any more! ; )
let me make your decision easier - i own the entire nano series, and i must say they are excellent! I like the nanoKONTROL most of all though, as i feel it is the only one which isn't made more difficult to use due to it's small size. I recommend the nano line as a cheap alternative to bigger midi controllers
Hey, that was raelly useful. I am planing to buy a synth in the future, so I really apreciate theese tutorial videos since i'm new to theese instruments.

@dnltsn
the bassline are tb303 samples. I trigger them as audioclips in ableton...

how much is that synth??
ClubTrance88 1 year ago
@ClubTrance88
it is a "edirol pcr-a30", about 300 Euro, but they do not build it anymore....
btw: It is a controller with an audiocard, but not a synth... you can play vsts but it got no own synth or so.....
