  • eye kan cpel toe...lol

  • @20stands dude you analyzed the shit out of what happened. wish i could put things into words the way you just did.

  • @turkeyguy0 Thank you, I am a engineer so being clear and precise is a big part of my job. Of course you have some someone like Kyler2013 how has some idea he made in his head of spraying gasoline onto tires and trying to defend it, like the comments above. So enjoy the comments as I pick him apart, this is also part of my job(I have to have other engineers defend there own ideas too). lol

  • @20stands right on, thats the path i want to take in life too, but i only understand whats happening with things, i can't explain it with words as well as i'd like to.

  • @turkeyguy0 Try reading some manuals on engineering. If you don't know a word just find out what it means and start using it with everyday life. I started two words a week then three words. I topped out at four a week. After a while you can use them in a timeline type sentences like I did then you will have a extended vocabulary.

  • @20stands good advice, i'll try it

  • @breakmyface

You mispelled tire, but nice video

  • @customnotmodded no its also known as Tyre its Latin ... English turned it into tire ... just like color its know as colour in some places

  • that was freaking awesome

  • and after this tell me that americans know what to do with their lifes

  • @GolfMk1974

Glad you so positively assume what country this video was filmed in...........

  • Mythbusters : 0

    American muscle : 1

  • now thats one hot car

  • Someone tell the Mythbusters this because they said it was impossible

  • its Holden ha ha :-)

  • Russian cars gaz24 Volga ???

  • Russian Gaz 24.

  • @MassacreBreakdown No!!! It's australian HOLDEN HR 1966-1968.

  • @MrCheshir Oh, yes, you're right :)

  • red neck sports!!

  • that's was i talking about !!! great burnout!!

  • now thats a BURNout!

  • tire not tyre

  • u splld tier wrong

  • @dyl421421 you spelled spelled wrong :l

  • @dyl421421 so did you tire not tier

  • @dyl421421 You* spelled* tire*

But good job on spelling wrong correctly. One out of four.

  • fake

  • people who fucking spell tire like that iss me off for some damn reason.

  • theres a gas line next to the tires and when the tires get hot they let the gas out bc see how it just burst out of no where

  • Comment removed

  • @meekfreak28 or maybe the fact that they combusted?

  • @Tj1056 your wrong

  • saw how it's done on car science. the tire get to a temperature where the tires are hot enough to ignite gasoline, so you can spray gas on the tires, but is also possible for the rubber to catch fire. I've seen that in NASCAR.

  • Now, THAT'S a burn-out!!!

  • tire* god damnit

  • @matthewrockslol22 Actually its tyre. Its the proper way to spell it, americants like yourself spell it tire.

  • @saintluke87 damn man good logic, now what shall we do with the rest of of you're day?

  • @3p1cName More fact than logic buddy. Thanks for caring

  • From 1:00 to 1:03 you can see the STIG from TopGear

  • Tyre, hahahaha.

  • MORE FIRE EXTINGUISHER's!!!

  • That's a burnout! Others are just boring smokeouts.

  • THAT IS WHAT I CALL A BURNOUT!

  • Whats happening is the smoke from the tires is a fuel source and the oxygen is from the surrounding air. This will create a stoichiometric mixture that will ignite and burn. The ignition source is the flames from the exhaust of the car running a bit rich and constantly cycling the throttle. Listen when he lets off the gas, then the exhaust will make a flame, the fire starts, the tires are now burning the preheated particulate rubber from the tire, consumes all available fuel sources, fire is out.

  • @20stands That's a very good explanation, and it sounds much more plausible than any reason I could think of. Thanks :)

  • @Chris45215 Thanks I grew up around drag racers. Most old hot rods/muscle cars have the exhaust near the rear under the car. This is to blow the smoke out the back of the car. One reason was quicker staging keeping the tires hot. The other reason was to save weight, shorter pipe and you only have to use one hanger per side. A fire burnout was very common in the 60's and 70's. "If your tires aren't on fire, you can't call it a burnout" Jeff Carrell R.I.P. Old School Drag Racer

  • @20stands thanks.... Einstein >.>

  • @20stands Uhh, dude, they do this by running a gas line and spraying it on the tires. The heat from the tires ignites the gas. The tire would blow out before it ever caught on fire as you stated.

  • @Kyler2013 I don't think so! If I put the time, work, and money into building car like this one in the video, the last thing I would do is spray baulk liquid fuel onto my tires, near my gas tank and light it on fire! I can tell you the fuel source is the particulated rubber not gasoline. Why do I think that you ask? Smoke(tire smoke) by definition is a unburned fuel in a dence particulate form, that is visible to the naked eye. Gasoline(a oil) would lubricate the tires so they wouldn't smoke!.

  • @20stands Hey dude, that's why high powered cars don't have gas tanks, they have fuel cells, which are located in the car most of the time, not under it. And since gasoline (including the vapor which you neglected to mention) is flammable, it would light tires if they were hot enough. Look it up, I've been doing this race/stunt car shit for a LONG time my friend.

  • @Kyler2013 Well I am a engineer for a aircraft goverment contractor. We specialize in ceramics, liquids, composites, and refined chemicals(such as what tires are made of). Your sure about that? Flame propagation is suject to dillusion of nearby fuel sources and a vapor will burn with quite a but of force thus dynamic expansion. After ignition will flame out very quickly because it expands so quickly that it will push away all avaible o2. In the video the flame still burns a while after ignition.

  • I wish all cars did this, soo the person driving behind me will stay the fuck off my ass.

  • нет это не волга

  • its russian car ??????????? volga???

  • you soak the tires in diesel or petrol, or basically anything fameable

  • @firewishes haha too hilarious!!

  • mythbusters said that was impossible! how could they be wrong!!!

  • mythbusters is accurate on what they do at using their material. it dosnt ruled out its true for all things on earth. i remmeber they had a show that burning rubber cant catch on fire..i was like wow they are dumb. if they stated average car wont be capable then yeah but they said no as in not possible. you can even get metal to catch on fire at the rate of the speed and friction against it. mythbuster need to redefine their show before airing

  • @BlueRice one more thing to asshole, if you going to reply to me with stupidity, first, go learn that you only need heat and oxygen to make fire. you can even make water-fire. wow... i just set myself up with more risk of getting attack for idiots out here. yes you can make fire with water. im not even going to go into details..so in the mean time i wont respond to dumb-wits out here

  • @BlueRice actually the said that they could not reproduce catching a tire on fire just by spinning it, but, the rubber on the pavement that sat after each tire blew did catch fire after sitting for a few minutes. i bet shredded tire would do great in a compost.

  • @gkitchens1 oh is that so? hmm i guess theres so many ways to put it in words. i guess its matter how people understand it their own ways

  • Now thats what we call

    *puts on glasses*

    HOT WHEELS

  • Awesome vid! And why all the "my putty hurts cause they spelled tire diffrent?" Hell either way you know what it is.

  • i saw this video.... from another angle ;)

  • I bet he won

  • This is Volga ;) Хотя врятли

  • not hard to do with a fuel nozzle pointing at the tire...

  • @holtzer1 i used to do it in my old valiant just by having the exhaust pointing at the tyres , jam the throttle , bounce it off the limiter and it'd throw flames out the pipes lighting the rubber smoke up , as long as ya keep em spinning hard they stay lit , never even got any damage out of it

  • "Oh hey my wheels just went up in flames, I should get them on the grass to put the fires out."

  • fuckn rednecks in the stands

  • Nice

  • супер!!

  • nice burnout, but thats the reason i dont fill my tires with propane any more

  • the fireys were on that shit really fast good job to the fireys!

  • BACK TO THE FUTURE!

  • It's a wonder the whole damn car doesn't burst into flames.

  • now thats a burnout

  • so tell me how people believed that them things really caught on fire, aint no wait two tires can catch on fire at the same time, simple there is a small rednecked flamethrower inside the front of the quarter panel.

  • @Wingzero454 its actually happend quite a few time in the burnout comps here in aus (mainly with cars running methonol)... its a mix of unburnt fuel spilling from the exhaust onto the track and when the tyres (at high temp) hit it it causes the fire on the wheels and sometimes the burnout pad...

  • at 0.21 you can see the stig from top gear

  • thats alotta fucks, your cool.

  • what a comeback lol

  • and thats why its called a burnout

  • What's he got on the back, there? Looks like old '70s era bias ply tires from Montgomery Ward.

  • and doing a burnout cant light ur tires on fire according to mythbusters good thing i watched it happen 5 ft in front of my face b4

  • @WarlordGaming

    its tyre here in australia

  • @rbryanac You do know that tire is only the American spelling, right?

  • @rbryanac The only fuck nut around here is you buddy.

  • @breakmyface although he does have more thumbs up on his comment than you do, majority calls the shots on this one

  • @breakmyface I agree. In some countries, it's spelt "tyre." In some countries, it's spelled "tire."

  • @breakmyface spell it differently around the world

  • @breakmyface some americans (not including me) dont understand the difference between your english and my english...what a fuck nut as you said

  • @breakmyface

Well there are then all the fucknuts that think that 'burnouts' are something 'cool', take skilll, useful..... I don't know what your parents are teaching you.

  • @rbryanac its the same

  • @rbryanac Pretty sure it's Tyre, Aussies it is anyway.

  • @rbryanac tyre US, tire [ˈtaɪə]

    n

    1. (Engineering / Automotive Engineering) a rubber ring placed over the rim of a wheel of a road vehicle to provide traction and reduce road shocks

  • @rbryanac its tyre in the uk aswell. clever u? neh!

  • @rbryanac If you're from Australia it's "tyre". I understand that it might be difficult for you to believe there are actually other places in the world besides the USA.

  • Comment removed

  • @rbryanac I guess you do since you were the one who orginally brought up the matter. And a question should end with a "?". BTW, good luck with that whole"bomb" thing. How's that been working out in Iraq and Afghanistan for you?

  • Comment removed

  • @rbryanac Well...that statement just told me eveything I need to know about you.

  • @rbryanac

American english is't the only spoken English.

  • @rbryanac

its australia, its spelt tyre in nearly everyone country in the world apart from america and canada

get your head out of your ass

  • @rbryanac

It depends if you're from the USA or the UK. It varies. So therefore, you're the fuck nut :)

  • @rbryanac In English it's spelt tyre.

  • @rbryanac go learn where they got the term from first fool... tyres are the same as tires...

  • @rbryanac lmao you may say tire, but the other half of the world says tyre, think before you put comments up aye mate

  • Well thats what i call a "burn"out...

  • Talk about a burnout. I think he should win

  • Smokey the Bear approves.

  • Show that to mythbusters

  • @NcJeRk rotfl..............

  • @NcJeRk thye needed more Power

  • @NcJeRk Funny you say that, the hole reason we came to this video was from watching that episode.

  • @NcJeRk haha thats what i was just thinking

  • @NcJeRk

It's just from friction, if you rub a stick against another stick for long enough it will start a fire, so imagine how much friction and heat is being created from a tire rubbing against the road like that.. :D

  • @ExpertOfSound its not they have tubes with gas spraying out on the tires and a flame to ignite the gas... watch the show car science and you will understand and look it up

  • @nitromethanehemi they were going about it the wrong way dude. they tried to ignite the tire from the outside using gas/air mixture, obviously that will never work on a smoking tire because the smoke chokes the oxygen needed to create the fire. but if the fire comes from the inside of the tire, where there is extremely hot oxygen, and flammable rubber, all it would take is the tire spinning on the rim a little bit and the whole tire would go up. any science would tell you that.

  • @ExpertOfSound but you still need oxygen. which comes from inside the tire. other wise it really would never ignite, because the smoke is choking any source of oxygen from getting to it. mythbusters clearly over looked that.

  • @gkitchens1

oohh, so it is once the tire actually bursts, theres the second of air coming out of the inner tubing and that gives it oxygen... if the rubber is above flash point, buh boom :D

  • @ExpertOfSound right. exactly. sorry for such a long delay in reply, but I normally dont care a damn thing about the comments, so I dont check much for them.

  • @NcJeRk they did it on car science on the speed channel

  • @NcJeRk yeai called bullshit on that episode too

  • @NcJeRk and they said this could not happen in anyway possible.

  • Hi Alex, i'll take carcinogenic fumes and smoke for a thousand.

  • now that`s what I`ll call a burnout

  • hes turning into ghostrider

    just kidding

  • hot wheels are real

  • that was a cute little burn out. Honda Nation

  • leave hime alone fuck wit im from new zealand so i like ozzy/aus its better than us our any other palce apart from nz

  • Color versus Colour.. too many letters for american's to remember, so they loose a few letters..easy

  • @1997FordProbeGT You're obviously a yanky cunt, so I guess anything goes in America! DOUCHBAG! LOL!

  • fuckwit???

  • @miniamok18 He's Australin and i guess their english and the way they spell, is correct compared to the real world's way of speaking english. Go figure.

  • ahhh pure aussie magic, cool burnout. heaps better than the Americans could do

  • I thought its impossible......prob mythbusters had a shitty car

  • Wow that's a hot tyre! lol

  • Holy shit that kicks ass Lol I hope he can afford some some new ones!

  • i'm "tyre"d of all this arguing.who cares?

  • now that requires skill.

  • lol now thats just sad.

  • WAS THAT THE STIG IN THERE?????

  • people need to get a dictionary (AMERICANS).. its TYRE!!

  • the big flame at the beggining it's not from the tires ;)

  • tufffffff

  • @Finnishguysowns

perhaps your a queer and i dont give a fuck how you spell it in a different country. Fuck the finnish

  • @rexxcollins and you seem to be an though guy :o but Finnish people atleast know where the berlin wall is, unlike most americans.. thank god im not there anymore.

  • Flames for extra ratings

  • @Finnishguysowns lol southern Canada? I didn't know there was a difference in spelling between northern and southern canada.. hahaha

  • @bettermaxim Yea well don't know where you'r from and don't really care, but i bet that if you go to the northest point of your country, people will talk a bit differently than in the southest point.

  • @Finnishguysowns well ya but thats not wat you were saying before. you were sayin that southern canada spells tyre differently then northern canada. which makes no sense.

  • @bettermaxim Yea well usually people write like they speak.. no? (if you dont count those mothertongue essays etc. where it required to use grapholect)

  • it look like 50 mexican imigrants that was hired to do that they was coming out everywhere with those fire extinglishers

  • @55chevyboy You look like a redneck trying to piece a sentence together. Sorry you failed.

  • @nis915 stfu u lil bitch

  • @nis915 u smell like u went apple bobbin in a pool of 7 fat mexicans that went on a lawmore expidition for a week and didnt take a shower

  • your retarded its spelled tire

  • @howtobeastitup96 It's spelled tyre in every English speaking country except the U.S. and perhaps Southern Canada. Oddly enough, I'm from the U.S.and I know this. Perhaps because I paid (some) attention when I was in school.

  • hey guess what fuk u americans we, the brits yeahinvented the language so hows bout u learn to spell it TYRE not tire t----wats!

  • It's spelled tyre in every English speaking country except the U.S. and perhaps Southern Canada. Oddly enough, I'm from the U.S.and I know this. Perhaps because I paid (some) attention when I was in school.

Another thing; I say I'm from the U.S., and not simply "America," as America includes many places - including Brazil, where Portuguese is spoken, in fact. So all you local hillbillies here need to QUIT SAYING STUPID S### LIKE "We speek Inglish here in Amurrica!" At least until you CAN.

  • tire*

  • AWSOME!

  • now that is a hr!

  • History lesson - America was originally a Brittish Colony and spoke proper english before their independance. also please note that Robert William Thomson from Stonehaven, Scotland, was the original inventor of the pneumatic tyre and thus the true spelling of tyre. Americans GET OVER IT!!!!
