PS3 does have a LOT of exclusives coming out. I want one too, and will get one at some point. I enjoy both systems and have no arguments with you. As far as lag, I have my 360 wired to the internet, so I don't suffer too bad, but there is some lag here and there.
I go with the PS3, Simply because Online playing is FREE, You can look at the internet, theres loads more of reasons.. no need to buy prepaid membership. And also because I've always been a playstation Fan. I respect people's opinions on the Xbox and PS. But I prefer PS.

The 360's hardware actually don't suck....see the only two things the PS3 has over the 360 hardware wise is, the CPU is "technically" more powerful and it has Blue-Ray.....sure the on paper Blue-Ray is better....but only because it can store more data, but the PS3 tends to have problems with load times on the Blue-Ray...also the Graphic Card is better on the 360....oh and the bigger harddrive on the PS3 doesn't matter cuz you have to install most games just to play them....

xbox 360 came out a full year before PS3. that is why it has more games. ps3 will have games like, Heavy rain, Killzone 2 , god of war 3, uncharted 2, coming out in 2009. and for games now, there is motorstorm 2, littlebigplanet, resistance 2 and i like to play uncharted. im not biased, because i play the xbox 360 at my pals house all the time. and its a great console!! but i have to say, ps3 is actually winning. just give it some time.....

in the end it's about what games u play, I can only play motorstorm and resistance for so long after it gets boring plus the ps3 will need to come down in price much more after it beats the 360, ps3 seemed good in the beggining but then it got boring, 360 can afford to be lower than the ps3 because it's cheap to make, ps3 used expensive hardware and 8-core cpu (which it doesn't even use 100%, it only uses 7 cores) and most games don't take adv of it, maybe in 1-2 years we'll see the ps3 at 100%

only a few people use wifi since it's slower than wired internet (but I agree that 100 dollars for xbox wifi is crazy), and the online play for xbox is not free because it's better than the ps3, all consoles requiere you to spend more after u buy it, but most people just look at the console price by itself when buying it and don't account for the add-ons (HD-dvd add on for 360 is like 30 bucks now since hd-dvd is dead).elite DOES support 1080p, all those exclusives aren't even out til mid 2009

Plus those failure rates have changed, those were probably for the Xenon mother boards.
Plus there was a dramatic change in the failure rate percentage it went from 54.2% to 30% as you said.
PS3 was 7% and now is 3%.

PS3 does have a LOT of exclusives coming out. I want one too, and will get one at some point. I enjoy both systems and have no arguments with you. As far as lag, I have my 360 wired to the internet, so I don't suffer too bad, but there is some lag here and there.

The 360's hardware actually don't suck....see the only two things the PS3 has over the 360 hardware wise is, the CPU is "technically" more powerful and it has Blue-Ray.....sure the on paper Blue-Ray is better....but only because it can store more data, but the PS3 tends to have problems with load times on the Blue-Ray...also the Graphic Card is better on the 360....oh and the bigger harddrive on the PS3 doesn't matter cuz you have to install most games just to play them....

true, but they released a new controller that has vibration now "dualshock 3" because all the ps3 owners complained about it..so yeah....almost 60 bucks for the new controller with vibrations :/

I am not a ps3,xbox360 or wii fanboy,I must say that comparison was fair despite what others are saying.Since JSRM has both consoles I would not really consider him a fanboy.I do not really understand why you guys get so worked up over what one guy has to say.The main reason I bought a 360 is that the ps3 was way too expensive when released and I did not really like the games on the ps3.

in the end it's about what games u play, I can only play motorstorm and resistance for so long after it gets boring plus the ps3 will need to come down in price much more after it beats the 360, ps3 seemed good in the beggining but then it got boring, 360 can afford to be lower than the ps3 because it's cheap to make, ps3 used expensive hardware and 8-core cpu (which it doesn't even use 100%, it only uses 7 cores) and most games don't take adv of it, maybe in 1-2 years we'll see the ps3 at 100%

u seemed like a fair comparer in the beg. but at the end i figured out how much of a ignorant 360 fanboy u are the 360 doesnt even go to 1080p
it only supports 1.2 hdmi ps3 supports 1.3 difference 1.3 goes to full hd
1.2 equals 720p upscaled to 1080i

the sales ps3 is rapidly catching up as u knw the ps3 came out one whole year after the 360 did of course 360 is winning but ps3 is catching up and is remarkable tat it is tat close to sales to the 360 it shows ps3 is catching up by the monthly sales

only a few people use wifi since it's slower than wired internet (but I agree that 100 dollars for xbox wifi is crazy), and the online play for xbox is not free because it's better than the ps3, all consoles requiere you to spend more after u buy it, but most people just look at the console price by itself when buying it and don't account for the add-ons (HD-dvd add on for 360 is like 30 bucks now since hd-dvd is dead).elite DOES support 1080p, all those exclusives aren't even out til mid 2009

Correct me if im wrong, but the last time i visited the playstation store they had PS2 backward compatability content for free. Im serious. You can just download it and get it for any PS3.

only 2 models have limited or full backwards compatibility, their latest 160gb model has removed this feature to increase sales of the ps2

yeah XP...I've owned both (sold ps3 after it collected dust for 8 months)...and if only ps3 had more interesting games and better online play..it would've won the US and I would've kept it
