MMA IS GREAT BUUUUUT IT IS GEARED TO MUCH TOWARDS BJJ! this sucks beacuse if your going against a bjj artist a good as you are it turns into lay and pray and becomes boring this man know his stuff!!!
@kerrycato911 Lay and, pray is a folk style wrestler concept in MMA. They take top control and, keep it there, because they don't understand submissions well enough. Josh Koscheck is a famous example. Damien Maia makes submissions a major part of his game.
The biggest respect in the world to the man who taught Sakuraba Kazushi everything he knows about submissions. Sounds like a very wise yet humble martial artist. Catch wrestling sounds so cool! i wish there was a school around me so i could learn it =(
I think the old time Catch Wresters before the 1900s would be like Collegiate Wresters now who learn Catch As Catch Can SUbmission Grappling techniques
im a kenpo black belt and i relate to every thing he is sayin. and teh learning how to learn is fucking insanely great. and what humbelness. admits he still learnig. this is what every one should watch once they know they want to learn any type of martial art.
coach robinson he's the best i would suggest that anyone who could go and be trained under such a master of his skills. I would like for someone to give me information to contact coach robinson. I trained with him from 93 to97 thanks If anyone could help. Billy Scott
respect. big respect. once i can raise the money, i fully intend on becoming certified through the scientific wrestling program. let's all help to keep catch wrestling alive.
I've never heard of Billy Robinson speak. I read about him and know he's a catch wrestling authority. Lemme tell ya, I can listen to this guy for hours and hours, and it'd be to my benefit. That's for sure!
WOW! This was great I am such a Billy Robinson mark. I wish I was athletic and took up wrestling I would have loved to go to that seminar on Catch Wrestling. Billy has a lifetime's worth of knowledge on the game and anyone with a brain would soak iy up like a sponge. I am a fan of worked Pro Wrestling and I am not ashamed but there needs to be a huge platform for the real deal...for Catch as Catch Can!
Billy Robinson trained Johnny Saint? The announcer said that on world of sport. That's awesome!

Bryan Danielson recently had a seminar with this man, and it's the only way I know about him, but he's amazing to listen to.
